Vancouver Pizza Co
The pizzas at Vancouver Pizza are in a class of their own. I've always had their pizzas delivered, so I can't comment on the restaurant, but it was recently rebuild after a fire in 2007. Don't confuse VP as just another pizza, this is artwork. And they know it too, because each pizza is named after a famous artist. You're going to pay for it, but you'll get a meal with one slice.
La Bottega
You can't go wrong with La Bottega in the "hippest" area of Vancouvers uptown neighborhood. I've been here for lunch, appetizers, and dinner and have never had a bad experience. I love the beer selection and my wife is a big fan of the wines. The food menu is simple but excellent. It's a great hangout on a nice day because they open the front of the restaurant up with a garage door and the seating spills out onto the sidewalk patio. I've also always had very polite and really friendly service. Very nice place to have in Vancouver.
Big Al's, Inc.
Big Al's is a bowling alley on steroids. It's also an arcade on steroids. Actually, it's really a sports bar on steroids. Serious fun for the whole family. You owe it to your kids to bring them here. I wouldn't change a thing about Big Al's and I am grateful that it is in Vancouver.
Elegant Interiors By Mona
I was stunned by the high quality and great inventory of fine furniture in this fun little furniture shop. I was not expecting that Mona would have so much beautiful furniture and for such fair rates. I'm glad I stopped in to look around. They also have some very nice framed artwork.
