Momiji is delicious. Located in Chinatown, yes Chinatown, this is an excellent and reasonable little sushi place. Our server was very sweet and the food came quickly.
We had the Kani Salad, the Valentine Roll and the Mango Madness Roll. They also brought out a complementary appetizer with white tuna. Everything was fantastic. The portions were large, the fish was fresh and the flavors were unique. I would/will definitely go back.
Cava was a surprise over in Traville Gateway. The shopping center was pretty empty, but Cava was packed.
The atmosphere was pretty noisy, but we got used to it after a while. Prices are reasonable depending on how hungry you are. My mom and I shared the dolmades, the saganaki (which comes on fire) and the shrimp souvlaki and it was more than enough. Everything was delicious, especially when we used the lemons provided to add a little acid.
Overall, it was impressive for its location and a good find for Rockville.
I went to Alcheme for the first time today and was very impressed. My stylist was Brielle who was very sweet and did an excellent job.
I have a huge mane of coarse, frizzy curly hair. She took off just enough length to make it feel light and healthy, but still leave me my long locks.
She meticulously blew dry my hair and left me feeling much better than when I came in.
Mmm... Spicy Bite. My boyfriend and I order delivery from Spicy Bite on a regular basis.
The food usually comes relatively quickly. We are both completely obsessed with their chicken tikka masala. I think they must put some sort of addictive substance in the sauce.
The naan is fine and the saffron rice is awesome. Definitely the best option in the Bernal Heights/South Mission area.
I am officially a loyal advocate of Ed's Autohaus. Both times i have been to Ed's, he has been incredibly patient and honest.
When I went for a diagnostic for a check engine light, it turned out to be the catalytic converter. Ed told me that would be fixed by a dealer because my car was still under warranty and didn't even charge me for the diagnostic.
This shop is the best. I would recommend it to anyone!
I was looking for a new fafalel place in SOMA and came across Sunrise Deli on 2nd St. Somehow, I had never noticed it was there.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the falafel. I had the Super Falafel which adds in eggplant and potatoes and definitely enjoyed it. I can't say it's the best falafel I've had, but is certainly a good lunch option.
South Point Casino is not the fanciest hotel in Vegas, but offers an affordable option with pretty nice rooms. The hotel is located well off the strip, so I wouldn't recommend it if you want to go casino hopping.
- Cheap minimums at the tables
- Good drink service while gambling
- Huge rooms
- Incredibly inexpensive rate
The Not So Good:
- Really far off the Strip
- Limited restaurant choices
- Bad buffet
The Alemany Flea Market is an interesting experience. Sometimes you can find really great furniture or antiques at good prices. Other times, there is nothing there worth looking at.
The people watching is pretty solid and there is a good mexican food kiosk worth trying
Castro Theatre is the most beautiful theatre I have ever been to. I have only been there once, but will definitely be back again. They have an organ player who starts off every show which adds something very special.
We had Pizzeria deliver for the first time tonight and I was pretty impressed. The wings were really tasty, not very spicy and with an interesting smoky flavor. The pizza was solid. It wasn't the best pizza I've had, but definitely a top 2 or 3 delivery option.
Food came pretty quickly and was still hot. Prices are average.
