While I purchased my car from another dealership, I've always taken it to Jim Ellis for repairs and recalls because it is more convenient. The guys in the service department are friendly and helpful. I don't use them for basic maintenance because I can find equally good service for less, but for a dealership service department, they are very good. Would also consider purchasing from Jim Ellis as well.
OK Cafe is a neighborhood favorite for families. It's great for brunch too, but be prepared to wait on weekends, as it is very popular! Reasonably priced for the huge portions you get - usually $20-30 for a couple. Fast service, and the servers have always been friendly and helpful.
I've come to appreciate the service and straight-shooting advice given by the gentlemen at Cobb Galleria Automotive. The service is quick and efficient, and the waiting room is much more pleasant than most chain oil change places. They've given me good advice, and I'll continue to patronize them.
Mom & Dad's has been part of our family's dining out tradition since I was very young - it's the first restaurant I really remember going to. The lasagne is outstanding - very thin layers of pasta, not the thick, rubbery kind you normally find - and the fettucine alfredo will knock your socks off. Surprisingly, the grouper entree is also a consistent favorite as well.
If you like chicken salad, this is the place for you. Cafe Pharr Out has a limited menu, but I swear everything on it is very good. My favorite is the walnut chicken salad. And I have to fight with temptation every time I order not to request extra pastries...light and cream cheese-filled, they are the perfect amount of sweetness to finish off the meal.
A great hidden gem downtown. While the whole pizzas aren't a bargain, you can get a slice for about $3, and that's enough for me at lunch. Authentic New York style pizzas and calzones. The restaurant itself is tiny, and the line at lunch snakes around, so be prepared!
Metrofresh has really good salads, soups and sandwiches, all made daily (the soups) and as you order it. They live up to their name! They have heartier dishes for dinner that have always sounded good, but I've never been later in the day. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant.
Although I was familiar with F2O's Midtown location, I was happy to find this branch out in the suburbs. It's a great location for weekend brunch with friends, and has the same great menu as the other locations.
I was so please when Fresh to Order opened in Midtown - we needed a reasonably priced restaurant where you could get healthy food for lunch. The portions are very generous; you can save half for another meal, which makes it fairly cost efficient. Parking nearby is a challenge, so it's best if you can walk.
Max Lager's offers a typical pub menu, but they do it very well. When I worked downtown, this was a good place for lunch if you had a little extra time. They also have a large space upstairs that they will rent out for private parties.
