I've used Dr. Moore for my eye care for seven years, and think very highly of his eye care. Even though I was initially skeptical about seeing a doctor in a Walmart store, he was the first eye doctor to actually listen to the problems that I was having with my eyes! I don't hesitate to recommend him. However, any time I had to visit the office for contact refills, etc., I dreaded dealing with the staff. Generally unhelpful and slow.
I am so pleased with the results of my LASIK procedure performed by Dr. Ashraf. I was seeing 20/10 within a few days after the surgery, which is nothing short of a miracle in my book. The staff at AVI were all friendly and helpful; Dr. Ashraf's personal style is a bit hurried and abrupt when conversing for him, but thankfully, that did not continue into the laser room! I appreciated his cautiousness after the surgery - he even called me at home the day after to personally follow up on my recovery.
I highly recommend my doctor, Dr. Cyd Williams. She's always been very good about listening to my questions, and is responsive when I have concerns. However, the office staff could use some sensitivity training! Also, getting a call in to the doctor or her assistant is like getting in to the President...you always have to go through a voice mail system.
I can't recommend the ladies at The White Dress highly enough. Although small, they have a good selection of wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses and bridal veils. They also have an awesome sale rack, which is where I happened to find my dress for a mere $99!
New Natalies is a wedding attire warehouse, basically. It's the first place I went dress shopping once I got engaged, because my best friend got her dresses there. The staff is basically indifferent to you, unless you unknowingly break one of their rules! I didn't find anything I liked, but they did have some good sale prices, and I like how they had dresses arranged according to style.
I can't believe how affordable this place is. Andreia's staff of technicians are all actually Brazilian, and they are extremely professional and personable. It's not a spa setting, but they don't charge spa prices either, and it's totally worth the trade off!
I've worked with BlackSheep Productions for the past year or so, and have been consistently impressed with Mark and Lisa's integrity, skill and creativity. They've been wonderful to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
I used to make my own gift baskets for baby showers, filled with supplies like diapers, wipes, etc. Those baskets were probably thrown away - these definitely would NOT be! For $40, you get a really sturdy basket with a removable liner that can be washed and comes with built in dividers to keep everything neat.
I guess the selling point of the socks made by Baberoo is that they are organic, but still come in bright colors. They also make these things that look like leg warmers for babies. Nice, but I can find similar items at Target (maybe not organic, though).
I love love love the practicality of these kits. PackinSmart makes a 5-tiered clear plastic column of storage containers that interlock. You just pop together however many you need and go. There's even measurements on the side for formula, and a pour spout on the top (you can take this off and use it for cheerios, snacks, etc. Only $20 and totally worth it.
