Boudro's On The Riverwalk

The food here is excellent, prices are a bit high for some items, but mostly ok. It is right on the Riverwalk, very nice with trees above. We had an enjoyable evening at this restaurant.

Paesanos Restaurant Group

An expensive, elegant place, but the food was well worth it. Both of our dishes were excellent. The service was outstanding. We found the restuarant to be very clean. The only downfall was the price.

Tongass Trading Co

This is the best store that I found in town for Christmas decorations, they had a great variety, lots with bears and moose. It was a fun place to shop and the prices were reasonable.

Barnaby's Old Town Curios

Ketchikan, AK Gift Shops 08/03/08: 'The Best'

Barnaby's was one of our favorite stores in Ketchikan. They have so many things to choose from and great prices. Clothes, kitchen items, jewelry, food items, and every souvenir you could think of. Best of all are the prices. The people were nice too.

Soho Coho

This is another gift shop on Creek Street. It's a neat place, kind of artsy. They sell clothing, hats and other souvineirs. We purchased some fish and bear breath mints. We couldn't leave Alaska without some funny gifts too. The store is nice, and the people were friendly. Prices were good.

Cedar Chest

Ketchikan, AK Gift Shops 08/03/08: 'Nice Items to Look at'

This is one of the fancier gift shops in town that we visted. They had a lot of Alaskan art, prints, jewelry, clothing, books and more. The prices seemed a bit high. It was a nice store, lots to look at.

Tom's Treasures

Ketchikan, AK Gift Shops 08/03/08: 'A Nice Store'

We visited this store while in Ketchikan and found it to be nice, although we did not purchase anything here. They had jewelry, a lot of native art and other souviniers. The prices were in line with the other stores in town.

Kone Kompany

Skagway, AK Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Shops 08/03/08: 'Great Ice Cream Cones'

We stopped in this shop while visiting Skagway for some icecream. It was very good. We found out that the shop sells other great treats too. The fudge was great. We ended up buying way more sweats that we needed but it was all good.

Fernando's

A couple of locals told us that this was the best Mexican in town. I hope they have better days. We stopped in for a drink and just a snack of nachos. It was pretty good and the servers were very nice but I could have used more veggies on the nachos and hotter salsa.

Sweet Dream Teas

Juneau, AK Restaurants 08/03/08: 'More Than Tea'

This is a great place we visited, I was able to catch up on things back home since they have wifi here. We enjoyed a cup of tea and dessert here and just relaxed a bit, it was a nice place.
