I do so love the atmosphere and food at Spanky's. The chicken fingers and honey sauce are so yummy. The Spanky's spuds are definitely a must. I try not to eat fried food too often, but will make an exception for Spanky's fingers and spuds. There are also some salad and seafood choices available as well.
I've gone to Terri's for lunch a few times and have had a good meal every time. There is a good selection of salads/desserts/and sandwiches. There are also a few tables outside so you can sit outside and enjoy the weather on a nice day. Prices are OK; you don't get the largest portion for your money-but some are not as big eaters as others. Still a nice place for lunch.
The BBQ at Meatslangers is pretty good. There's not a HUGE selection, primarily meat and a few sides. It is a great place for lunch, with fast and friendly service.
This is one of my favorite Chinese food buffets to go to in Columbus. There is a very large selection and the lunch buffet price is very reasonable. There are a few non-Asian item choices on the buffet for kids.
The Catfish House is a little off the beaten path but has a great atmosphere and really good food. There's a nice porch area and usually lemonade and roasted peanuts so you can sit and snack if there's a wait. The shrimp and scallops are very good.
Los Compadres is a good place for Mexican food and is usually very fast during the lunch rush. They have recently put in a covered seating area outside so you can eat outside when it's not so hot out.
I agree with some of the other reviews that it is a little expensive for a small aquarium, but the Riverquarium is a nice treat when it's hot out or when you have family come to visit. The staff seem very knowledgeable and the staff led "shows" are interesting. Also, for those of you who are not familiar with Albany, there is a fun kids playground area, picnic area, and walking path near the Flint River all adjacent to the Riverquarium.
We've gone to Blackbeard's a few times and have had good meals each time. They have a nice selection of seafood and BBQ items. The portions are really generous so you might even be able to split some items. Prices are reasonable.
The Tot Shop is a very cute shop with some great items. They have a nice size selection of clothes, shoes, accessories and gift items. The staff has always been very helpful. The outfits and shoes they carry are all so precious!
There is a good selection for store this size with a decent variety (wine/liquors/beer). The last time I went in, Mike's was pretty busy, but the staff kept the lines going (had 3 registers open) so we moved thru at a good pace.
