Allen Lee Hotel
Stayed 3 nights, 2 adults and 4 children July 11-13. Greatest asset of the place is the friendly and helpful staff. Not too expensive, rooms a little worn down but clean, cosy and the airconditioning worked fine. Simple but good breakfast (we brought our own yoghurt and cocoa powder for the kids). Good location. Maybe not the place you would like to spend your honeymoon at but nevertheless very good value for your money.
Taylor's Big Mug Coffee Shop
Went there to buy take away sandwiches (which tasted very good indeed) around 2.30 PM Saturday 19 July. Place was rather crowded with both people and Macbooks. A big plus was the interesting ongoing discussions between the waitresses and the guests on the presidential elections and the Iraq war. The place is also very relaxed, and for all you internet surfers out there, it has free wireless internet. It's simply a nice place to hang out at.
