Quaint and wonderful like the Victorian Village of Ferndale. The owners and their staff are so friendly and say it is their job to make you enjoy your visit. Lots of wonderful things to prowse through and purchase.

Happy Donuts

Eureka, CA Doughnut Shops 08/17/08: 'Great donut holes'

Happy Donuts has the best donut holes in the area. My friends and I love to go here and eat. It has great service and great apple juice. The donuts are always fresh.

Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant

Alexandria, VA Family Restaurants 08/15/08: 'Period Dining'

When in Washington and visiting Mt. Vernon you must eat at the Mount Vernon Inn. Everyone is dressed in the period and the food is delicious. After dinner, take a respite in living room near the fireplace and enjoy coffee. It is gorgeous.

Sir Winstons Restaurant

Long Beach, CA American Restaurants 08/14/08: 'Great Steaks'

This is a Long Beach staple. This is a place we like to go for a special meal, but be warned, reservations are required. But it is well worth it. The steaks are awesome and I love their escargot. This is must.

Long Beach, CA Hotels 08/14/08: 'What Fun'

Stay on a world-class ship, but don't worry about seasickness. I've stayed here twice and it is pure fun. Stay out late, enjoy great food at Sir Winstons and take a beautiful stroll on deck. The lights of Long Beach are beautiful at night and it is just fun.

They used to be on Citrus across from the mall, but have now moved to the industrial center, but they are still the same. They still have a huge selection of fabric for reuphostering and window treatment.
