Do you like plums? Lunardis has 6 kinds of them in season! Their fruits and vegetables are of great quality and choice, and they have a meat market with real butchers, who will not only find you the cut you want, but tell you a way to prepare it. They have an in-house deli and bakery, and friendly and helpful checkers, who are like family. The store is a bit pricey, but well worth it for what you can find.
Tina, the proprietor, and Molly a four-footed hostess, run this small but perfect store for pets and their owners. Whenever I go in, there's usually someone shopping with their dog. There are gifts of all kinds, for both dogs and their people, and when friends come from out of town, or out of state, Molly's is where they want to stop. You can find general pet merchandise, and things specific to breeds. You can find food bowls, leashes, collars and harnesses in every color and pattern, door mats, and jewelery for people or their pets. Tina will do special orders for you, on the chance that you can't find what you are looking for. On the days that Molly is in residence, you are indeed lucky.
Dr. Rothe is a most compassionate vet. I foster for Col. Potter Cairn Rescue, and brought my last foster dog in for a dental and to have a couple growths removed. Dr. Rothe found a malignant tumor, and thought he might have a few more months. When the time came, I brought him to be put to sleep, and I could feel Dr. Rothe's and the rest of the staff's compassion. It didn't matter if it was Jockey's second visit there, but he was treated as if he had been a patient of many years. This is so important in a vet.
