In the simplest of words- You just can't beat Karl's period. It is good old fashioned home cooking. The service is so friendly and quick. I trully enjoyed my visit.
We tried Porter's Tavern for the first time nearly a year ago. We enjoyed it so much that we've returned several times! The food is awesome with a varied menu ... I love this place. Not too pricey and has a great atmosphere and the food is good.
I'm a Helios rat. Great coffee, delightful staff, free WiFi, nice vibe, great music. I love it there. Best Coffee in Raleigh - They use Counter Culture Beans. I'm there Sat mornings.
This is a great place to visit if you want to know where the Raleigh locals go to dine. If the nostalgic 40's theme of the cafe isn't enough to win you over, there is the authentic comfort food to take your experience over the top - not to mention the desserts Hayes Barton Cafe is very well known for. Every entree and dessert seems to have an added touch of whimsy...as does the diner itself - from the manner in which the entrees are named, to the portraits of old movies stars flanking the walls.
Whenever I am in Raleigh Rey's is THE place I go. Formerly a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, with Rey at the helm this has to be the Premier Steakhouse (with a French Quarter Flair) anywhere in the country. Raleigh/Cary/Durham residents are lucky to have Rey in their backyard.
We were really disappointed with this restaurant. The setting was nice for a date night, but the food is really overpriced. For $18 I got two average steak tacos and very ordinary beans and rice. The steak didn't seem marinated or to have anything done to it beyond being cooked, which I could have received at Taco Bell.
Margaux's has a very interesting atmosphere (a far cry from the strip mall exterior it has), plus drink specials during the week. Fun atmosphere and great food. elclectic characterizes this place well. nice place to go if you want to try something new
Best Argentinian food in Raleigh. The baby Argentinian steak - yum! good food served by good folks in a good environment. home cooking at it's best .
Great food and service but the vegetable tempura is great and the dressing on the side salads fabulous. The waitstaff have always been excellent and the service quick, though the restaurant gets busy quickly. Limited vegetarian options (true of Japanese cuisine in general).
. Polish Cuisine, you'll like J. Betski's. The service is good, and the food is great. J Betski's is located in a gentrified section of shops and restaurants just north of downtown Raleigh. it serves excellent polish and german food. the pork belly appetizer makes us swoon every time we order it - despite what it does to our waistlines! this is a relatively small restaurant and it's very popular,
