Though this post office is very small and old-fashioned, the staff work quickly and are willing to help the customer with special requests and able to give information when asked.
Some of the postal clerks in this post office have poor attitudes and act like the customer is inconveniencing them or they just want to go home. They all try to push the customer to purchase the most expensive shipping method, sometimes without even asking the customer. There are other clerks who are always friendly and chatty and willing to help the customer as much as possible. Their shipping also tends to be slow. The post office is within walking distance of my house and I use it because it is convenient.
The staff at this post office and always friendly and chatty with their customers. They are always willing to listen to the customer and ship packages at the customer's request instead of pushing the customer to spend more money. items ship right away and arrive at their destination quickly.
I used Andy's Cab Company to travel to/from Colonial Williamsburg and the Norfolk Airport. My drivers were very friendly and courteous. They helped me with my bags and provided me with door to door service. They called to confirm my return reservation and when they couldn't get through, they kept calling until they got me. Because of this hassle, one driver wouldn't take the risk of coming to get me, but another did. There was a slight mix up with my credit card not going through the first time and the driver came back inside to ask me what happened. He later called to confirm it went through the second time. The price was a little high but comparable to other car services. I would definately use them again!
My grandmother lived at this assisted living facility for a little less than a year. She has a nice little apartment with a bathroom and kitchenette. The common areas look like a fancy resort hotel and there is a fully equipped kitchen for visitors to use with the residents. The only drawback to that is that the stove is not turned on and only certain staff members know where the key is. Some of the staff were very friendly, greeting my father on his arrival and catching him up to date with his mother's news. One staff member in particular, Betty, was incredibly sweet and helpful to my grandmother, giving her the extra care she required. My grandmother did not have such good experiences with some of the younger, newer staff members. The food was good and offers options for those with dietary restrictions. For $2.00 guests can eat with the residents and have an excellent meal. The wonderful staff allowed our family to take over the private dining room and kitchen for our traditional Christmas Eve meal. They helped clean and were given some of the left over food. This was a nice place but unable to keep up with my grandmother's increasing needs. It is more of an independent living home than assisted living.
I've stopped in here a few times on the way to/from visiting my grandmother in her nursing home. The service is speedy and friendly and the food is good. The mozzarella sticks are fat and cheesy and the chicken fingers not too fatty. They also serve ice cream in HUGE portions. My dad also likes the TVs playing the Red Sox so he can catch some of the game before or after visiting with his mother. Outside there are picnic tables to eat at but they overlook a busy road and congested city streets so the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired.
The food at Chelo's is typical family style, except they serve seafood as well. They have daily specials as well as holiday specials. The chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks are my favorite. The claw machine in the lobby provides something fun (but expensive) for kids to do while they wait.
The Bagel Gourmet has a nice variety of bagels and cream cheese for a small shop. They also have a small variety of other baked goods, light food and bottled beverages. The service is always quick and friendly.
My sister took her computer in for a virus scan and windows reinstallment. The tech called her the next morning to tell her what he needed to do and had the computer finished by that evening. The price was the same as if she had taken her computer to Best Buy or another brand name store but the service was quicker and more personal. She had a good experience and I would take my computer there for quick service.
I had no idea this store existed until I saw a sale ad in the paper. I stopped in and was amazed. I could spend many hours browsing their wonderful selection of rare and used books. I especially like to collect Victorian children's books and saw a number I wished to buy. Their prices are more reasonable than other rare bookstores I've been to and the staff was friendly. A+
