This practice is big, but I have never had any of the negative experiences that the other reviewer posted. I have always been greeted kindly and taken care of thoroughly. The doctors all have something I like about them and there aren't any one I would really avoid. On more than one occasion I have even overheard the receptionists/staff talking about parents of their patients amongst themselves and they are saying very nice things. (which is reassuring to me as a parent of two of their patients!)
Dr. Alvino is great with my girls who are 3 and 1. He speaks directly to them and encourages them to talk about how they are doing. He is silly and charismatic and my girls really love going to see him (my oldest wants to have him over for a playdate). Once, after a visit he called me later at home to say he had re-thought something he had recommended and wanted to go a different way just to be on the safe side. I really appreciated that he was giving us that individual attention even after we had left.
That is taking nothing away from the other doctors at the practice. They have ALL been great it is just that the particular chemistry Dr. Alvino had with my girls was so strong we started seeing him whenever possible. My girls have never reacted negatively to any of the other doctors.
They sometimes do run late, but I don't think it is because they are so big. When my children are sick they have always brought us in immediately (and they are open until 9pm or something like that!). My assumption is that when I have had a sick child, someone else with a scheduled well visit probably had to wait for us, so I am happy to wait when it I am lucky enough to have the child who is not sick.
