Nice community drugstore. Has everything you need, plus nice, friendly clerks and pharmacist. Great prices, too. I like the friendly small-town atmosphere, and personal service they give, especially compared to the big chain drugstores.
I was a little disappointed at the selection. This is a specialty place, only sells Filipino-type desserts. While some of them are quite tasty, I was hoping it would have pies and cakes that would appeal to a broader clientele. On a positive note, what they sell is good, and inexpensive.
The very best Mexican food I have ever eaten. Located in a nice, safe area, easy to get to. Homemade tortillas, too. Fresh food, fast, delicious, and not expensive at all!
The vets here are excellent, the kennel help is a little inexperienced though. I take my cairn terrier there, and have also boarded him there. The first time, they did not put in the eye drops every day that he needed. They called me to let me know his eyes were red, and as we went over the situation and they realized they had failed to put in the eyedrops, they were really good about the situation. The vet did not charge me for the entire week of boarding, nor for any services at all. They changed their procedures so that the missing medication issue would not happen again. I have used them several times since, with no problems. They are a little expensive, but very convenient to my job.
This Petco has a good selection of dog foods and supplies. But, they don't carry the full line of some foods, or they are often out of one particular type. My dog likes NutroMax, and the last 3 times I was there, they did not have it. Also, their prices are higher than the Petco on Orange Ave., in Coronado, which is kinda weird.
A GREAT place to bring dogs, especially big dogs, for a bath and grooming. For $15, you can put your big dog in one of the raised bathtubs, leash him to a secure post, and use the great handheld sprayers (like a shower spray) to wet him, then use the pump-action shampoo to clean him up, then spray the water again to rinse. Excellent facilities, grooming tools available for any need, such as slicker brush, comb, etc. You can clip his nails yourself, or for $5, they will do it for you. Much easier than trying to bathe a big dog at home. Nice place, in a nice shopping center, very secure, with gates to prevent the dog from escaping, too. They also offer full-service grooming. Great for small dogs, too, but moste especially helpful for big dogs.
