I echo what the last reviewer wrote about the beauty of this setting and quality of wines.
Try the ros of pinot noir with lobster: it's awesome. Always have the food that grew up with the grapes!
We were referred to Liberatore from a friend, and we are so glad! Father and son are the nicest plumbers ever. They've done several medium-size projects for us, and they're so good to deal with. The prices are modest and I encourage anyone to use them because if they aren't kept in business in volume, Home Depot will drive them out with prices. Call now!
The buyers here have been in the business since water turned into wine. They may even stock that: they have everything else. What they don't have, they will order for you. Head past the cash register and go downstairs to the wine dungeon...that's where everything is.
Ask for Len for French and Peter for Italian. Tastings every Wednesday.
We moved out of the neighborhood and still talk about how great Pizzanini was. IS...I've been known to visit people in the neighborhood and talk them into ordering pizza just so I can have it again. Simply the best. Nothing complicated, the sauce and crust are just perfect.
The staff at Hansen works with you to find exactly what you need. They take their time to go through all the catalogs with you...they know anything you need to know about lighting. All the fixtures in our house came from Hansen and we are very happy with them. Ask for Rose.
Ok, Larry's is not glamorous. But if you need birdseed, lawn stuff, or reconditioned appliances, this is where to go. This is a small, family business and I've been a customer since moving to the neighborhood. And they have the best quality geraniums in the spring...better than any nursery in the area.
When you have difficult hair to cut (thick, curly), you need a barber who knows what he's doing. Buddy does a great job and takes his time to get it right.
We used to go here frequently but it's changed ownership and now is not so good. The manager actually told us that the reason we didn't like our sushi was that we ordered too much of it.
I don't think so.
I always stop at King Arthur on my way down from VT. The variety of cooking products is wonderful, but it is also a company that I want to support. It treats the employees well and has fair shipping practices. I can always count on King Arthur for gadgets I didn't know I needed but become indispensable.
I didn't see any ghosts (the place is supposedly haunted), even though I was here on Halloween. There was a fire in the stone hearth and Irish music and it's just a nice pub atmosphere. Can't speak for the food...made a meal of my Guinness.
