Made In Oklahoma
This shop is dedicated to things made in Oklahoma. However, most seem like home made crafty items that some grandmother whipped up while sitting in her rocking chair. There were a few things that were truely unique but most items were definately not for the airline traveler - liquid sauces, larger items, etc. You can do better in the local gift shops.
Drysdales Western Wear
I stopped in because they were having a tent sale. I picked up a pair of Justin boots for 49 dollars - originally 200. WOW! They were giving a lot of things away for next to nothing.
Cherokee Casino
I'd recommend not going to this casino until they finish all their development work. The parking lots were closed, the entrance difficult to locate with the main drive closed and lots of construction dust. The casino itself was really smoky even on a slow day. I sat for a long time at a slot and never had anyone ask me if I wanted to order a drink.
Lyons Indian Store
We asked at work where we could go for Indian jewelry and other gifts. This place was recommended to us. The store is big with a lot of "everything". We bought jewelry, charms, a journal and a few other trinkets.
White River Fish Market
We were in for business and the locals recommended this place. They warned us that the place was kind of dumpy and we were prepared when we entered the counter service place with the heavy fish smell. I got the Tuesday lobster special that was a huge tail with two sides. They cooked the lobster correctly and it was a great deal.
Baltimore House Antiques
This place is near a town called Verona, not too far from Brookville. You will find all kinds of things in the gal's shop. I've gotten figurines, jewelry, pottery and more from her. She always greets us when we arrive and gives great discounts.
UDOGU
They have nice over the head and one snap halters for dogs. They cover them in bright fabrics. I bought one two years ago and it held up till the last couple months when the fabric peeled away from the weaved inside. It was still strong and usable and my dog wore it constantly with lots of tags to wear it down. I bought another and they gave me a discount - 22 instead of 24 dollars. Not bad. Their sewing skills are not perfect but you really don't notice too much. The harnesses are comfortable for the dog and don't rub.
R L Rasmus Auctioneers
They have good deals on their auctions. However, you have to be available on one specific day to pick up and this is hard because most of the days are during the week. They don't ship and they don't refund. Their site is not the friendliest and it is not too easy to figure out how to place a bid and how often one has to bid.
Gabriel Brothers, Inc.
I love stopping here. They have wonderful clothing at rock bottom prices. Be sure to look carefully because they often take seconds, damaged and returned goods. They have great prices so its worth the time to look over everything. I get swimsuits here for less than twenty dollars.
Country Side Antiques
The shop owner has set up shop in her own barns. They have an annual fall fest and bring in other dealers. This is always great. They also have lots of primitives. You won't be disappointed if you stop in here. Have to use the ladies room? They have the nicest outhouse ever!
