Mama's Bakery is fantastic. Its off El Cajon in North Park. I have the most excellent service and fantastic home style food every time I go in there..
REally cute place in the North Park area. Every dessert is decorated and every dessert is truly amazing. There are absolutely no cons to a place filled with chocolate!
SDSU students flock here before midterms. Great for math and science classes. They are very helpful for students who look at statistics 119 with a blank face.
Not far from Belmont Park you can rent Kayaks for the afternoon and have a good time. LOCALS: do this! There is no harm acting like a tourist from time to time!
Almost everybody in San Diego has heard of Sun Diego. I would say that this is the best one. Its right on the beach and its HUGE. Perfect for browsing around inbetween sunbathing.
Cool surf and skate shop in the mission valley mall. They are usually pretty friendly when I go there. Its right next to the AMC theatre so I always end up buying a pair of shoes or a shirt while waiting for the movie to start.
I am fairly positive that this is the same spa that used to be in the Peachland. If it is I have nothing but positive things to say about it. The owner is very nice. I got my eyebrows waxed there for the first time when I was 15. They made me feel very comfortable.
My dad has piles and piles of old VHS tapes of me when I was a kid. I took them all here and they compiled them into DVDs. It was SOOO worth it. Now all of our home movies from the 80s and 90s are put into a case AND are backed up on our computer instead of taking up entire ares of our house.
Robertos REAL MEXICAN food is what it is called. I would say this place is on the nicer end of taco shops in san diego, but its doesnt have that same greesy yummy mexican food taste. Its still good dont get me wrong, and the service is good, but its just not the hole in the wall type place
If the strap breaks on your sandal or your favorite heals broke go to Ginos. Its in Grossmont Center across from the hospital right off the 8 freeway. Its not over priced...and its certainly cheaper than buying new shoes.
