The staff here were very friendly and approachable. I was able to get my friend in even though he didn't have adequate membership privileges. I had a difficult time getting on a treadmill, but that's probably because it was during busy hours. Other than that, the equipment acceptable. The matching dumbbells was a big plus. This gym was a bit out of the way, but it is definitely worth checking out.
An excellent, well-rounded gym located close to a few hotels. The friendly an approachable staff and gym members was exactly what I was looking for when I walked in. Plenty of equipment and well-maintained. They offer a great prepay special during the holidays that's definitely worth checking out! Highly recommend.
family owned and operated. the employees are very friendly and approachable. the quality of the doughnuts are exceptional and the price is fair. cleanliness is of no issue as the aged old floors still remain shiny and smooth. well-maintained and never too crowded inside, making this place perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee and a treat.
a classy interior with great decor. the food is well portioned for the price; however, completely lacking in quality. not the place to go if you're looking for authenticity. as the first chinese restaurant in bakersfield, the food has gradually evolved to suit the tastes of the general american population. cleanliness is somewhat of an issue. be mindful to some of the utensils as they might need an extra wipe or two. the men's restroom is satisfactory. the dim-lit interior creates a great atmosphere, making it an excellent place to bring a date. however, if you're looking for an authentic taste, you're more than likely to be disappointed.
generously portioned for what they charge. compared to every other chinese restaurant in town, this place takes the gold. truly authentic taste, exceptional service, and very friendly staff. family owned and operated since it opened. a must try.
i tagged along with a friend, who claimed to be an experienced indian cuisine connoisseur. my first impression was that this place was overcrowded with tables. the food was mediocre, lacking some of the spices desirable in indian cuisine. aside from that, the service was acceptable and the men's restroom was clean. will i ever go there again? probably not.
the first thing i look for in a thai restaurant is authenticity. every thing here is nothing short of authentic. the light thai music in the background creates a feel good mood in the atmosphere. fair portions and price makes this hidden lot much more desirable than any other thai restaurant in town. family owned and operated to ensure excellent quality control. the murals painted by the owner's brother on the walls gives this restaurant a unique and original look. a great place to bring a date, never noisy or too busy. this is one of the only restaurants in town that remains authentic and uninfluenced. highly recommended.
i was quite impressed with my first impression of this restaurant- walking in the door and what not. the receptionist was charming and did her job. however, the servers and busboys were something else. they completely took away from the dining experience. the inexperience and of the servers unacceptable; most of which have no experience with asian food whatsoever. the busboys made me feel very uneasy, each of which gave off an unwelcome vibe rivaling that of an inmate. the minuscule portions and sub par food quality are in no way worth the price. the fancy tables and decorated interior is great to look at, but what really counts is the food and service which it is clearly lacking.
this little corner wasn't what i expected. it's been around town for a long time so it was a must try. the food did not meet my expectation, making me question how it had been around for so long. the price of sushi was overpriced for the quality, 2/5. the men's restroom was 2/5. the service was 2/5. overall, the restaurant itself deserves a 2/5.
the lack of an english-fluent staff definately takes away from the restaurant. the sushi is overpriced and unsatisfying. if the owner prepares your sushi then you'll find yourself shorted. seldom is the tappan well-prepared. aside from the food itself, the restaurant is clean and organized. it has a decent location and can get busy at times. dinner for 2 can bust your wallet (or purse) if caught off guard. however, overall dining experience can be pleasurable when the mood is right.
