I used Pereira for tax accounting once and did not feel I received good service for the price. I did provide them all of my information in excel spreadsheets to ease their data entry and met with Pereira once to go over the return. I felt that there was not any in depth review by an accountant and that they merely plugged in my data. I had also done the taxes myself for comparison and they were not able to save me any more money than if I had done the taxes myself. Thus, I did not return the next year. I am rating them satisfactory because they did the basics but nothing more.
Johns Hopkins Hospital not only has world class doctors but the staff and facilities are also world class. The operations of the portions of the hospital I have used are extremely efficient, minimizing the wait times and the administrative overhead. Even the parking is efficient and convenient.
This La Quinta is fairly close to the airport but is located away from other hotels and airport services. The rooms were comfortable but the amenities were a little lacking - no refrigerator or microwave. The breakfast was good but not great - they had waffles. This La Quinta is not the best deal in the area unless you can get a reduced rate through a coupon or special offer.
This is a brand new La Quinta located near I-95 and the Florida Turnpike. The rooms were great with comfortable beds and bedding. They had microwaves and refrigerators and wireless Internet. Breakfast was very good - continuously stocked and maintained. However, the first time we stayed here we were on the 4th floor and could not get Internet access except in the lobby. Hotel was not helpful in resolving the problem. The next time we stayed we asked for a 2nd floor room and could get Internet (probably closer to wireless router). Our only complaint was slight rudeness of desk clerk when I asked for the best rate and he said he was giving me the best rate. Of course prior to our next stay I found a much better rate.
Located in the Spanish Springs Market area of The Villages there are many nice shops as well as restaurants. We stopped in Toojay's and there was a short line despite it being a week night. Fast service and good sandwiches (I had the Reuben). On our way out we purchased a couple of bakery items to take on the plane home.Nice experience good food.
Tersiguel's is a great place for a small group dinner. They have a number of separate rooms that can accommodate various sized groups. The French country decor and furnishings in a historic Ellicott City building provide the perfect atmosphere and the Christmas decorations and ambiance are special. The food is fantastic as well with the Filet Mignon being my favorite.
We have frequented Bill Bateman's numerous times over the years and have been reasonably satisfied even though the service is fairly slow and the wait sometimes is long. However, on our last visit the food was not good. The special that evening was Prime Rib. The waitress said we could not order it medium rare because it came medium (which means it is precooked and then reheated?). The medium prime rib we ordered was grey in color and the texture was very odd - it didn't look or feel like meat you would eat. We sent it back and ordered something else. We haven't been back and probably won't go back.
We ducked into Chan's while we were visiting Terra Vista. We were looking for Chinese take out to bring back to the villa that we were staying at in Terra Vista. Chan's was a great choice. The food was good, hot, and freshly prepared. There were a number of people eating in at Chan's at the few tables that were available. This is a good choice for take out Chinese
This a great place for barbecue. It is located close to I-95 and Rt. 100 and is convenient to Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn. We had the pulled pork sandwich which was generous in portion and came with french fries. The service was very good also. The decor is a little sparse. After talking with locals, Woody's is also popular with the residents in the area. Woody's has good food, at reasonable prices, in a casual atmosphere.
