When we went to La Playita, we had a group of six. The service was a little slow. We waited like 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order. After she took our order, we got our food and two of the orders were wrong. One drink was even wrong. [She asked for a water with lemon and she got a water with a lime.] I wasn't impressed that they messed up two orders and were slow on top of it. I wouldn't really recommend it.
Slippery Noodle Inn is a great place to catch live music. If you don't like what's being played, go into one of the other rooms, and listen to something different. There's several different room,s with different music in each one, and no interference from room to room. The food is pretty good too.
We went to Trio one Friday night to get something to eat. We were seated in about 10 minutes but then we were sitting for AT LEAST 15 minutes before our waiter came and even took our drink orders. I was not impressed with the really slow service, not to mention the expensive dishes that I didn't think was really worth it.
I teed off on the back 9 of this golf course, and I almost didn't make it past the 13th hole. I was ready to walk off and go home. The greens and fairways were completely dead. It seemed like they hadn't cared for the course in several weeks. It improved a bit for the rest of the round, but those first 3 holes ruined it for me.
This is a very nice, quiet golf course. The pricing for a round is cheap, especially at twilight. $20 with a cart after 3pm. The course is well maintained, and it is challenging enough for beginners and more advanced players.
Saunoris has the best staff ever. They are always there to help you especially to carry things to your car. The flowers and plants from Saunoris always grow and I never regret any purchase from them. It is always a good trip and worth my time and money.
The food is a little pricey, but it is good. But the view from the Eagle's Nest is spectacular. The restaurant slowly rotates to give you a view of the entire downtown area. It doesn't move fast, and you can't tell its moving, so it won't make you feel sick. But in a meal, you should get one or two trips around the city.
Chancellor's is a small restaurant in the University Place hotel on the IUPUI campus. The food is pretty good, but its a bit expensive. It serves as the main place for business lunches on campus, so the prices are high, but there's usually plenty of places to sit.
I went to egg roll king the first time, and the food was very good. The food was ready within minutes. The next time I went, the food did not taste nearly as good, and several others agreed.
Howl at the Moon is a fun place to go some weekend night. The piano players are very good, and know almost anything you can think to request. The beer selection is quite wide, and they even have beers I've never seen anywhere outside Chicago. Great place, especially for special occasions like birthdays.
