We moved to Freehold a few years ago and Lighting Expo was excellent in helping us pick two ceiling fans, one for a two story room and one for our sunroom.
They have an amazing selection of modern lighting, fans, clocks, and other random household goodies. Their stock is full of various styles and finishes for whatever style home you have. Their employees are also very helpful in finding that perfect fit and won't bust your wallet.
I am a big fan of Jon Parker employees. Haircuts are fairly expensive ($30), but I think paying a few extra bucks for their amazing handiwork is worthwhile.
My favorite hairdresser, Rosa, is speedy but takes time to put the person's face shape and hair type into account. She's been my hair dresser for a few years and she never lets me down.
She also did my hair in a unique updo for prom. I got so many compliments and really enjoyed the shape and accessories that matched my dress perfectly.
I love this place for its great service, amazing selection of dresses, and how quickly I was able to find the prom dress of my dreams.
Their sales ladies are friendly, helped me find various dresses quickly and stuck with me from the first fitting until I made my purchase.
The prices are little more pricey than a David's Bridal, but the few extra bucks were definitely worth it.
They also have a list of girls' names and what style dress they purchased to make sure that no two girls at the same prom are wearing the same dress. Perfect touch.
This big red barn off of Main Street may look a bit out of place, but inside it's full of amazing flavored ice creams and shakes and sherbets.
They also have seasonal specials and flavors.
It's also home to a 16- scoop special for extreme ice cream lovers. I've never had it personally, but it's a great deal to share with a huge group of friends or family.
During the summer, they also feature films on a huge screen in the backyard.
I've been here with a huge group of friends for a Hibachi night and we had an awesome time. It's a moderately priced place in downtown Freehold with great service and delicious platters.
Their sushi is also fresh and delicious.
I visit this place at least twice a month during the summer with my family. Their gelati's are tasty and made fresh everyday. I am also a big fan of their sandwiches.
The restaurant is a clean, awesome place for meeting up with friends in the downtown area. There are comfy chairs as well as seating outdoors.
They also sell hookahs, teas and coffee.
After its recent rennovations, Peking Pavilion now has a very contemporary feel with traditional, upright seating areas, but mellow lighting, modern fixtures and a classy lounge feel.
The service is quick, clean and friendly. The interior is gorgeous, perfect for family meals as well as dinners for two.
I highly recommend ordering at least one plate from every meat group if you're not vegetarian. We sampled one poultry, beef, and seafood platter as wel as the house special fried rice and lo mein, which was more than enough to feed a family of five.
It's moderately priced and better tasting than P. F. Chang's or other modern Chinese restaurants. If you have a party larger than six, I highly recommend booking a reservation as it can get quite busy on weekends.
If you're looking for a moderately priced thin crust pizza with lots of flavor, then Federici's is definitely the best place in the downtown area.
It's usually quite busy on the weekends especially during the summer time, but it has a great outdoor atmosphere right on main street of Freehold.
I'd highly recommend it during weekdays when it's not as crowded.
As a broke college student, I have tried every sub place in the nearby Trenton area and nothing comes close to Ray's Sub Shops. They have a huge variety of fresh sandwiches to satisfy any hoagie/ sub hunter. No other place can boast such big sandwiches for about $6. Awesome, speedy service too.
