My husband and I recently tried Sauce and we loved it! The food and service were excellent. Everything we ordered was excellent and we ordered several things that can be terrible to eat if not correctly! The calamari, risotto, gnocchi, desserts and side dishes were all great! We will definitely return in the future. My one suggestion for the restaurant is to update their menu online as it is not the same as the one in the restaurant.
We tried the Wood-n-Tap recently and were pleased with the food but disappointed in the service. They have some unique menu items including drinks and vegetarian fare and the food was excellent. Our waitress however, was a different story. We were dining with our young child who was getting restless by the end of the meal and that was partly due to the waitress who left us waiting for her several times while she stood in a corner looking bored. I noticed other wait staff were more attentive so I think we just got unlucky with our server but it really did effect our meal especially after being at a casual dinner on a week night with a toddler for an hour and a half. I would absolutely go back but steer clear of that particular server.
You can always count on Geissler's for quality products! The prices of their regular grocery items can't compare to the bigger stores and neither can the selection since the stores tend to be small but for fresh and prepared items they are superb! If you are having a picnic, special meal or event you won't be disappointed in their meats and prepared foods. I often find myself craving their potato and macaroni salads in the summer!
We visited the trolley museum recently and had a fun time looking at the antique fire trucks, trolleys and train tables. The real fun is riding the trolley along the tracks and the ride is great! A huge disappointment for me was the cleanliness of the place though. Despite having so many wonderful antiques and a nice plot of land surrounding the tracks there doesn't seem to be much pride in the upkeep of the land in particular. As we rode the trolley through the woods there was old "junk" everywhere-not trash as in items people were eating and threw out but pieces of rotting wood, scrap metal, misc old trolley pieces, etc. There were several volunteers who seemed to be doing more "hanging out" than working and I have to think their time could be better spent. It would be nice to see such a great historic museum and great family place become more "eco-friendly" and put more effort into maintain a good exterior.
I switched to Rockville bank a few months ago after being loyal to my previous bank for nearly 7 years. My previous bank was supposedly a local, friendly bank but I found they were neither anymore. Switching banks was no minor task considering I had 7 accounts including checking, savings, business and custodial (for kids in the family) but it was well worth it! My previous bank found a way to sneak in bogus charges on a regular basis and we were literally losing money just by keeping our money there. Rockville Bank has been great since day one when they stayed open late to help my husband and me open our accounts. They always have a smile on their faces, they have great hours, and best of all I haven't had a single charge for anything whereas my previous bank would have given me multiple charges/fees in the past several months! I would definitely recommend them to people in this area!
We go in to this store frequently because my young son loves to look at the fish. We recently started the process of buying some small accessories there to prepare to purchase a fish. The store is always clean and the workers are always helping the customers who come in. There is one staff person (an older man) who isn't as pleasant as the younger staff and I feel a little awkward going in when he's there since it's a small store. But there is one staff person in particular (younger man with several tattoos) who is incredibly friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this store for anyone looking for fish and fish accessories and knowledgeable staff.
A great store with high quality pet items!! Some items are very fairly priced while others are quite over priced but the selection is wonderful. The staff is knowledgeable and all of the pet supplies are very pet friendly-they don't carry any items designed to cause pain in the name of training. Would definitely recommend this store for a fun shopping experience!
I took my son here once and can't wait to bring him back! He really enjoyed it and it is safe and clean. It will be an especially fun place to go when the weather is bad and I will be adding it to my "rainy day " list. There are video games but the main attraction is the play scape and it is great for an indoor place to provide lots of exercise and physical play. The food at the snack is not a great selection at all but there are restaurants nearby to grab a meal after a good play time!
Useful Weeds is on one of the side streets off of Main St in a little area that just begs you to walk in and look at the unique stores. I have been in a few times and have been impressed with the selction and the knowledge of the staff, but I have had horrible customer service both times. The first time I was given no help--the staff member just sat and talked to a "regular" customer the whole time I was in there and didn't even look at me the whole time. The second time when I actually talked to a staff person (I believe the owner) she was unable to give me any real help without insulting me and telling me I was poisoning myself and my family. I would love it if the customer service was better so that I could actually gain something useful form this store!
We used nutmeg when we needed our furnace replaced and were very happy with them. We shopped around quite a bit to find a good company with good prices and Nutmeg was the most professional with the best information and selection. Our salesman Chris was very helpful and on the day that the furnace was installed the wrokers were very nice and professional and when there was s problem getting our new chimney liner in Chris came out to our house to help the workers and make sure the job got finished. We really appreciated that!
