I have been there several times and find that the local crowd I hang with finds it very overpriced. The bar is nice but it gets very crowded at the entrance and it seems that while people enjoy the sofa seating towards the back, many people don't seem to make it there and it gets kind of crowded by the service area too. Weird layout. The wine is super expensive by the glass and the bartenders are either inexperienced or the ones who are good are running in 10 different directions. I found it was hard to get any service after standing there for several minutes. I find that after awhile I have to get out of there because all that red in the bar just wears on me. Overall it's not awful..but it ain't great either.
I like the place don't get me wrong but what is there to do there? Aside from the summer dining out on the deck, there's nothing else but functions the year round..ok too, but for my money I would like to see some use by it's members year round..you can't stop in for a drink or food or entertainment in the fall and winter..yes, I know there are special functions but really, it needs to have a year round purpose. It would be nice to have a snack bar or bar with a common area and perhaps a wide screen or two. I just feel like I'm getting no use whatsoever out of the place. I'm single..it would be a great place to meet neighbors and make new friends. Many people I know have paid dues for years and have never been there. It needs to be multifunctional in some way.
