In the world of coffee stores on every corner, this place is a nice change from all the big name chains. The coffee is great and they make various mixes like the big guys. Sitting outside sipping your coffee is a nicerelaxing way to end the day or take a break during the day, or inside in one ofthe comfy chairs.
These guy have the best quality lumber I have found around town. The prices are more than the big chains, but the quality is far better. I especially like their redwood which over the years has not split on me , unlike another chain i bought cheap redwood from and ended up having to replace after 3 years. For hardware this store has some of the stuff I have searched all over town for.
My dad like the fact we have both Lowe's and Home Depot close together so he can compre. Usually Lowe's wins out with selection and pricing. We got a really nice kitchen faucet there and my dad like their quality of wood best for building. My Mom loves the garden department for flowers and soil.
Having a local JC Pennys is nice. Asside from the catelog section, the store has all the things you'd expect from a long time retailer in a very nice interior. It doesn't feel huge like the old department stores - more 'homey' with smaller departments sdectioned off by walls. Gone are the registers in the departments and instead checkout is at the doors, so the sales people inside the departments can helpyou rather than be suck at a register.
This is one of the few stores in the area which has a very wide variety of pet foods and products. They also has a pet wash facility where you can wash your pet without all the mess and hassle; warm water, large tubs at a comfortable level with pet stairs to help them up. short leashes attached to the walls so they don't escape. and every little snacks for the good girls and boys after (or maybe before) their baths.
Trader Joe's is a great little grocery store. I would give there workers a three thumbs up because they are so kind and help you with anything. I go there with my mom because they have a great selection of foods which are healthy - from whole grain rice to brown pasta to organic bananas
Petco is a friendly place. They have wonderful employees that help you with everything! They ask you questions to help you find the best product. They have a great selection on toys and other pet stuff. They aren't just for dogs and cats either.
Macy's in the Sun Valley mall is pretty big. They have a good selection with kind employees to help you with anything. They have some nice clothes that are at a fair price.
Home Depot is a great place for getting wood, paint or anything to help around the house, except for blinds! Our house blinds break once in a while because they are pretty old. So we looked in a lot of places that could fix them and Home Depot was the best deal. When we gave it to them they said about 5 weeks. But that turned out to be 1 and 12 moths! When my parents called to see whats taking so long to get the blinds fixed we found out they were still sitting there. (They had to be sent to the warehouse to be fixed)
They are the best place for framing because they are friendly and can help you with finding what kind of frame you want. They framed my moms set of purse's that her mom gave her, it looks great in the frame now. They also sell paintings from as small as a laptop screen to as big a dressing room mirror! They have great deals like buy one set of frames get the second 50% off!
