We bought our lot from Joe Broadhurst (Jomar Properties). Joe is all business. He is good at what he does but this is a business for him. I found him to be honest but he, of course, is wanting to get the best deal he can.
Cottle Mark O Attorney
Mark Cottle is the attorney for the Developer that I bought my lot from. We didn't get into any kind of legal situation but I did have occassion to speak to Mr. Cottle once. He was very helpful, very professional, kind and friendly. And I think he did a great job when he was Mayor of Sherwood.
Absolute Window Coverings
I was very impressed with Absolute Window Coverings. The gal who came to our house was very knowledgeable, very helpful, friendly and professional. Their prices were excellent and they had a great selection. Twice I've had to get a blind re-strung and they were great at coming out very quickly to get it, getting it fixed or replaced and fast and getting it returned. My mom ordered windows coverings for their new house too and was also very pleased.
Westside Moving & Storage Co
They were a lot easier to schedule than any other moving company we called. They did a good job, maybe took a little bit longer than I though the would (they charge by the hour) but they were nice and did a good job.
Taurus Power & Controls
Taurus Power & Controls have done a lot of work on our local high school's new stadium. Bill Butterfield was outstanding in the work he did and coordinating with the other contractors.
George Smith Warehouse
We got all of our appliances at George Smith when we had our house built. The guy was very helpful explaining differences between models and also did a good job staying aware of our budget.
Paragon Tile & Stone Inc
These guys were great. I went to them when we were having our house built. They had a great selection and really helped me narrow down my options to make the decision making process a little easier.
Kitchens & More Northwest
I went to Kitchens & More when we were having our house built. I love the end result but don't know that I would go back. They knew my budget from the very beginning and I don't think they even considered it when they were guiding me through the process. I even asked the guy a couple of times and he just brushed it off saying, "We should be fine." Well, we were several thousands of dollars over budget and I had to go back a second time and start over.
Nussbaumer Excavating Contrs
Nussbaumer Excavating did all the excavating for us when we had our house built. They were nice people who were patient with an excited homeowner who had lots of questions.
Ecocare Superior Pest Sltns
Ecocare was great at scheduling (was able to get an appt the next day) and were very thorough the first visit. The guy that came out was friendly and professional. He explained to me that they would call me within a week to schedule a follow up to come out and check the bait stations they left (for mice). I never heard from them. I had to call them to schedule the follow up. I let them know that I was disappointed and they assured me that they would make sure that they called me for the additional follow up appts. That still never happened. The second gentleman that came was friendly and very knowledgeable but smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke.
