My friend's son attends tutor-time and for months now he has been overly aggressive. He is constantly beating, biting, pulling hair, shoving, knocking kids down, etc. No reason, just who ever gets in his way, gets it (adults too). Aside his obvious developmental and social issues (none of which have been brought out to the parents by anyone in tutor time), I've been asking his mom if he is getting bullied at day care, seeing that kind of behavior are warning signs for abuse/violence. Up until yesterday, she kept saying "no" or Tutor Time hasn't said anything. So yesterday while she's dropping him off, this other kid, slaps his face as he is walking in the classroom. Nobody did anything. My friend of course gets very upset and talks to the "teachers" and director about it. Apparently this other kid has been bullying and terrorising the playground and her son happens to be a main target for him. Then they go on saying they don't like to interfere and let children work things out themselves. EXCUSE ME???? I understand about letting kids work things out but when bullying and injuries are involved, that is just not acceptable. These children are 2 - 21/2 years old and causing serious injuries, bite marks, stitches, bruises and whatnot on other kids, animals and babies!!! Are parents not noticing or saying anything??? My friend BTW: loves this place. I took a tour and having a Master's in Child Development myself, was not sold on the place. As a tax payer, I just want to voice my opinion, since both children I am referring to are receiving assistance for this place through DES.
I started seeing Dr. Heathcott about 2 years ago for prenatal care. She (all the doctors in her office) came highly recommended. I drove from Laveen to Scottsdale every month/two weeks, and even for my delivery. Now I am in the East Valley and after visiting another practice in my area, I have decided to stay with Dr. Heathcott in Scottsdale. The office is beautiful, the staff is great with kids, and the fact that it's an ALL-Women practice just gives it a very relaxed atmosphere. I plan on staying her patient as long as I have a vagina....LOL
We are frequent visitors to Price Motors, and it really depends on who you get. We did however, find this experience salesman, who did not pressure at all. After our own experience and the experiences of other, we realize if they don't have what you are looking for, they will get it. So this is a great alternative than driving over 2 hours to the nearest city for more options. This guy Bill was really helpful and accurate (we double checked). We will continue to do business with them no prb.
Great little neighborhood bar in the back with mostly locals.
Serving diner type food in the main dining room. I do have to say I enjoy having breakfast there very much. Staff is super friendly and you know it's good, when the place is filled with locals.
After coming to Omak over and over and driving by hundreds of times, we finally went in. This place has a little eclectic vibe going on, super comfortable, clean. They have a lot of variety in their menu: from pasta, sandwiches, burguers, and daily specials. We ended going there twice in one day! They specialize in making their own bread and bakery goods. Great for lunch, dinner, or just coffee and pie. Highly recommend it!
I have travelled much and was surprised to find some of the best pizza in little Omak. We come here about once a year to visit family and a trip to Hometown is a must every time. My favorite is the Sicilliano. Just the right amount of spice, garlic and cheese. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is just passing by, or lives in town.
My husband and I were driving around in the area, looking for Mexican Food, we stopped here after a lot of driving around. Their menu and staff were extremely friendly and patient. Once inside the decor was very quaint and unique. I was impressed by the fact they had a lot of awards and newspaper clippings. I remember hearing and reading about how this place has won numerous awards for their tamales. I ordered the Chile Relleno and was not disapointed, my husband ordered tamales, and were very moist and just plain good. Too bad it's a bit out of the way for us, but it sure was good. They do need to work on their curb-appeal, but once you get past that, you will not be disappointed.... I highly recommend this place.
Out of all the Mexican Restaurants, I have to say This is far more authentic than anything else around. Even in the fast food setting, I would still pick this place over any other Mexican place. Quality ingredients, flavor, affordability and choices. Even if you are on a diet, this place works (order a burrito and eat the inside of it!).
My family and I visited this buffet style restaurant on a weekend. The food was surprisingly good, very impressed with the variety, including sushi and some sushi rolls. I am not a fan of California Rolls, which is what I would expect from a buffet. This place had other rolls, including rainbow rolls, avocado, Philadelphia, and much more. Worth every penny on rolls alone. Also has lots of kid-friendly dishes. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
As we wer mving out, and had new renters move-in same day. I called them (busy holiday season) and they manage to squeeze me in, not only that, but they were on time, super friendly and the whole house (all 1700 sq.ft) was done in less than one hour. I didn't have to worry about vacuuming before hand because this equipment picks up everything. Got it all done, little notice and even under $75 total!
