Plaza Ventana is a very good mexican food place. The staff is friendly and prompt and their menu is very large! When you get your chips and salsa, you don't just get one type of salsa, you get three and they range in heat levels. They have a full bar and you can pick if you want to sit on the bar side or the regular dining side. Very nice.
Willow nursery is a very large, clean and nice nursery. They are a little over priced for what you get but the staff is helpful and knowledgable and they probably have everything that you could ever want for your yard, including fake grass!
Arbuckles has everything that my husband has ever needed for his jobs. If they don't have what you need in store, they will order it for you and even send it to your house so you don't have to go back downtown and pick it up. Electrical, electronics, communications, computer supplies and specialty tools.
Popolo's pizza is a place that not many people have heard of. Their pizza is very good (but doesn't reheat very well) but their salad bar is one of the best that I have found. The service is always really nice and fast and the prices aren't too bad either.
Although I prefer the real thing (Sal's), Casa Corona is a good place too. They have a full car and TVs to watch the games on too. Take out is available and they sale tamales around Christmas time that are very tasty.
Pedal Car Cafe is just like any other cafe that there is out there. They do have cute decor though. The reason I'm giving it only three stars is because one time when I ate there, there was a cockroach on the wall right by our booth and the waitress didn't seem to care.
We just hired Pointe Pest Control a little over three months ago and so far I am happy with the service. I haven't seen nearly as many spiders as I used to. The guy that came door to door was a little much to deal with (kind of pushy and excitable), but he gave us a pretty good deal, so I shouldn't complain too much.
Samba's is a very unique restaurant. On weekends and special events, they have dancers come out and entertain the customers. I would recommend that you get the buffet (don't misunderstand, they bring everything to your table! You don't get up and get in a buffet line) because you get to try everything! The side dishes all come out family style but the meat comes out on big swords and they carve you off what you want when they come to your table. You have to make reservations before going because they are always super busy on the weekends but it is so worth it!
House of Kabob is one of the best kabob places I have ever been. If you go for dinner, the prices are a bit higher but you get hummus and pita chips before you meal, a side salad and you dinner. Also, the servings are HUGE! And their garlic sauce is the best!
I really like this casino because of their no smoking section. Granted, it's not a very big area but I'm okay with that. The casino always seems very clean. The rooms at the resort are $159 and up Sunday - Thursday and $199 and up Friday and Saturday.
