I'm not sure why people around here pass this place up...we've never had a problem with the seafood (mainly crabs) from this place. They have great prices and the crabs are generally large and meaty. I guess there are just a lot of crab snobs in this area who insist on paying top dollar for their crabs?
I played volleyball at the volleyball house back when it was located in Columbia MD, lots of great memories. Even at the early stages of this organization, it was a place to go with friends and get some exercise while meeting new people...the staff has always been nice and they keep to schedules. Check out the newer volleyball house in Elkridge. Lots of room to play and competition at all levels. Not too expensive either, whether starting a team or just going for drop-in play.
I first ate here for an Air Force luncheon...at their lunch buffet. Not a HUGE selection, but everything they DID have was delicious. I will go out on a limb and say they have the BEST General Tso's chicken I've ever eaten. I've been eating carryout and delivery (very fast) from this place for over 10 years and never a disappointment.
But this place managed to do it. They must use crappy ingredients or something. The actual place where you pick the food up stinks and is dirty. It was expensive too. I believe I had General Tso's, and it was actually STALE and overly breaded, and the chicken was gristly, chewy and just overall BLAH. Avoid it. Not kidding.
Ok, this place used to be a dump with excellent food. Now that there is NO SMOKING and the owner has cleaned it up and hung flat panel TV's all over the place, it's actually passable as a family diner. The food is still awesome and my personal favorite is the corned beef hash with two eggs sunny side up! Mmmm, I might eat there for breakfast tomorrow! Great place for brinner (breakfast for dinner).
This place is heaven to me! There are hot sauce bottles lining every flat surface along the backs of booths and around the windows! You can use any/all of them if you choose! Best variety of food I've seen, and I've tried many different things. Everything has been absolutely yummy and somewhat inexpensive. The atmosphere is for families. It's loud and there are TV's hanging everywhere. Service has always been quick too.
This place has some really good food. The atmosphere is ok. I know they've recently added a bar area and it looks really nice, but I haven't been in there yet. Even in the main dining area there are big screen TV's mounted everywhere so you can enjoy your favorite sporting event while chowing down on some good grub. Price wasn't all that bad either. I've never had a problem with it being too crowded. Family atmosphere.
I've been going to Jim's on and off for years. The food is very good and the nightlife is fun on the weekends. During the week you have small crowds and Karaoke. Weekends have bands, lots of people, dancing, singing, pool...great fun, good time, nice people all around.
The problem with this place, is that it really didn't get hopping until like 2 hours before closing...like right as I needed to LEAVE, but I didn't leave. The bartenders were nice and quick. Lots to do and see at this place and it's right inside the Marriott at BWI. I had a blast...
I still remember my first time ever eating chick-fil-a chicken. In Waco TX at the mall. It was a magical moment over 20 years ago! haha. Awesome food, friendly workers, clean facility, and ok prices. This specific chick-fil-a is always quick with your orders, both inside and out.
