Connell Chevrolet

We have been a customer of Connell Chevrolet for over 17 years. A family owned business, they offer excellent customer service. Their sales people are fairly and friendly, not pushy like some car salesmen. They are willing to help you get a fair purchase price. If they don't have what you are looking for, chances are they can get it. Mike the used car manager is really good at finding cars for his customers. when my car was totaled, he found the perfect replacement car for me. The dealership has alot of repeat businessand its obvious why.

Woody's Diner

Formerly the Lido Diner, Woody's diner is a great little place to stop when you are in the Lido area. The restaurant is nicely decorated "diner style" with nostalgic pictures of the Newport Beach and Lido area. It is located next to the historic Lido Theater.

Woody's features great sandwiches, blue plate specials and shakes. You can even hang out and watch your favorite sports team on TV. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served.

Even Sisters

Even Sisters has been a Balboa Island Tradition for many years.
They carry the lastest girly beach ansd surf fashions from Paul Frank, Roxy, and other cute beachy apparel. They also have lots of sandals and accessories. You can find cute PJ's there too.
While shopping at Even Sisters don't forget to visit the colorful painted cow outside the door. Every season and holiday she gets a new paint job and is featured in the annual Balboa Island parade. One September she painted like a school bus!

Our Gang's General Store

Our Gang is a unique shop on Balboa Island that features many mind-stimulating toys, interesting gadgets and flags. If you need a holiday or special ocassion flag, come to Our Gang.
The owner is very helpful and is good at assisting you with your choices in children's toys. Their front window is a sensory overload experience in itself. They also carry alot of antique replica tin toys reminiscent of a bygone era.
If you need something unique for a kid be sure to visit Our Gang.

Sedona Real Inn and Suites

The Sedona Real is a small hotel in the quieter side of the town of Sedons, Az. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, each offering a wide screen hi-def TV, and wireless internet.
Spectacular views of the red rocks of Sedona surround the hotel.
In the morning a generous continental breakfast is offered in their cheery breakfast area. The lobby is very comfortable with comfy leather chairs and a fireplace.

One of the features that we enjoyed the most was the concierge. She was a local resident that directed us to many fabulous sight seeing opportunites, shopping and restaruants. She mapped out an efficient sight seeing schedule as we were in town for a short time.

Fireside Inn

The Fireside Inn is a beautiful hotel located along Moonstone Beach in picturesque Cambria, California. The rooms are nicely decorated, many with fireplaces and outside patios with views of the ocean. They have a great breakfast area where you can enjoy a generous continental breakfast complete with Belgium Waffles.
It is a little pricey during certain times of the year, but its location is fabulous. You are only a few miles from Morro Bay and the famous Hurst Castle.
A delightful feature of this hotel is that it is right across from a boardwalk that goes along the breathtaking shores of Moonstone beach. You can walk for over a mile and observe wildflowers, the ocean, otters and not to mention the many chipmunks along the way.

Carlyle Hotel

When visiting the San Jose area, visit the Carlyle Hotel. It is actually in the city of Campbell, CA but is very close to the freeway and the San Jose Airport. My daughter and I stayed there when we were visiting San Jose State. The Silcon valley can be a very expensive area to stay in. the Carlyle Hotel offered beautifully furnished, clean rooms at a value price. A continental breakfast was included in our stay. They have a vey nice parking garage with an elevator. The hotel has inside corridors and is 2 stories with an elevator.
We really felt that the surroundings were quite elegant and the price very modest.

Barnett Kevin K MD

Dr. Kevin Barnett is one of the most caring doctors around. His father took care of my grandparents in the 1970's and Kevin has taken care of my parents as well. Kevin Barnett has carried on the family medical tradition. He is especially caring with the elderly. My aunt was bedridden for many years with a stroke. Dr. Barnett faithfully made house calls.
He has a very caring and friendly personality and keeps an eye on his patients.

Hung V. Ong, MD

Dr. Hung v. Ong is a world class dermatologist in Newport Beach, Calif. He has helped many family members. One example is when another dermatologist handled a skin cnacer situation very badly. It took hours, but Dr. Ong was able to help this person and eliminate the skin cancer in a precise and efficient way.
He is a very caring and humble Dr.

Koch Diane RPT

Diane Koch is an excellent physical therapist! Having been to many other therapists, she is,in my opinion, the best. I was getting tired of getting re-injured after a shoulder surgery that resulted in 9 months of recovery.
The next time I had a problem with my back and neck I was referred to Diane. She really is knowledgeable! She fills in the gap between Dr,. and patient carefully explaining the nature of the injury and eliminating the frustration of a sometimes slow recovery.
Through the use of pilates and other strenghthening excercses, I regained strength and tone in my body that I thought was not possible having bad arthritis.
Diane runs the office by herself, without the help of unknowledgeable trainees (as experienced elsewhere!) Often juggling 3 patients in one hour, she is methodical and gets the job done. She has the nicest personality ever!
