I worked around the corner from Salerno's and became addicted to their Salami and cheese melt !!!
I never ate in the restaurant - ordered take out only and my order was always ready on time and it was never wrong !!!
Good, quick, reasonably priced lunch sandwiches !!!
Highly recommended !!!
Jackalope has pots of every style and size for your gardening needs - I needed and extra large pot for an olive tree and didn't want to spend $200+. I found a great one for about $140.
The staff is really helpful and helped me get this massive pot in my car - they'll also arrange delivery.
They have an amazing assortment of fountains as well. Check it out !!
Alison Shaw may be the most well known Martha's Vineyard photographer (although she has taken photographs all over the world) - the gallery showcases her work - in photo prints, posters, notecards, etc.
She has a very unique view of the Vineyard and her black and white images are especially stunning. Some are of Vineyard landmarks - but seen in a unique way.
One of her most famous is of a baby lamb staring into the camera lens - simple, gorgeous, endearing. A great print for a child's room.
Stop by ... you won't be sorry !!!
CB Stark Jewelers is the best jewelry store that I've found on Martha's Vineyard.
I love their Martha's Vineyard charms (the Oak Bluffs gazebo, lighthouses, ferry and Gingerbread cottage are so cute!) and charm bracelets make lovely presents.
I think my favorite necklaces are the Sailor's valentines - I have never seen these anywhere else - really special.
If you are looking for a present for someone really special - or you just want to treat yourself - stop in - you won't be disappointed !!
Highly recommend !!! The staff is great too !!!
Jabas Gallery has a wide selection of Martha's Vineyard related prints - antique map reproductions, art and island photographs - to take back home with you after your vacation is over.
Some are already matted for your convenience. Reasonably priced.
If you're on vacation in Oak Bluffs and need your NY Times or Boston Globe in the morning - this is the place to get it.
A good place to pick up tanning lotion - or sunburn care afterwards ! There is a good selection of postcards, maps, paperbacks, magazines, misc stuff for the beach.
Friendly, helpful service.
PROS: They have what you need
CONS: Sometimes newspapers sell out
The Ritz is not ritzy or upscale - it's a good neighborhood type of bar that Oak Bluffs locals call their own. You're not likely to rub elbows at the bar with many tourists - which is great when you want to escape from the summer throngs on Circuit Ave.
The food is average - a good safe bet are the nachos.
Recommend - but understand that this bar has a local crowd so respect that !
The Flying Horses Carousel is the oldest working platform carousel in the country - dating from 1884. It's in a cool red barn of a building - right at the bottom of Circuit Ave.
Kids will want to try to catch the brass ring - you get a free ride if you do !!!
Chica carries a wonderful selection of dresses, pj's, hair accessories and shoes among other items. They also have great jewelry that you can't find anywhere else.
It's an upscale boutique with lovely, feminine clothing - this is not the place to pick up something preppy. Whoever does the buying for this boutique has a great eye !
I have been very happy with the quality of the merchandise and this is one of my first stops when I'm in Edgartown.
Every summer when I'm on vacation on Martha's Vineyard I stop in Petunia's. They have a great selection of shoes and sandals and I probably have bought seven pair over the years. They also seem to have good sales when I'm there !
Nice intimate shop and helpful staff.
Highly recommend !!!
