I dealt with the owner, Debi, when she ran You and Me Babe. It is no surprise she shut that place down and re-opened under a new name. It is the tried and true way for people who develop a bad reputation to "start over". This woman lied to us every step of the way when we ordered furniture from her. The entire process was a nightmare. The BBB has an unsatisfactory rating on You and Me Babe for good reason. Doing business with Kids Tots and Teens will no doubt result in an equally bad experience.
While I am not an avid runner, I put in 4 - 5 miles, 4 times per week. I went to Run On for the first time to look for some running shoes. I had always purchased them at Academy before. First off, the employees are a bunch of snobs. If you aren't a professional marathon runner, they want nothing to do with you. If you dare to ask any questions about their products, they talk down to you. Incidentally, their selection is okay, but their prices are REALLY high. You can get the same shoes at Academy for 25 - 30% less. Overpriced and bad customer service. Not a winning combination in my book. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.
My husband, our 12 month old son and I were at the Lewisville location of Babies R US yesterday evening looking for a couple of new outfits for him (our son). The selection was very sparse in the infant clothing section so we decided to ask if there was another area of the store with more clothes that we had missed. First, there was literally no one on the entire sales floor. We had to walk up to the registers to ask. When we did, we got nothing but attitude from the employee. She said "I think our selection is just fine, maybe you should be less selective". I couldn't believe it!!!! We just decided to leave at that point and will obviously never, ever shop there again.
I had my glasses made there and so far they have been returned 3 times because they cannot get the lenses right. These people are supposed to be "experts" and they obviously have no clue what they are doing based upon the results to date. They still have the glasses and are making attempt number 4 at getting them right. In order to do that they demanded I select another set of frames (that I am not all that crazy about) as they feel the shape of the ones I originally picked may be the problem. My advise to anyone needing glasses is to avoid this place like the plague and go somewhere that employs a competent staff of professionals.
People have a right to their opinion. When I get my hair done, while it is primarily for me, my husband's opinion is important as well. These men were expressing their opinion, which they have every right to do. Incidentally, if you like Baxter's so much, why did you rate it one star? Idiot.
Hey Greg, why don't you just stick to the issues instead of attacking other posters. Talk about juvenile!! You must be a friend of the owner to even bother, so what you have to say holds no water. Mind your own business, idiot.
Good equipment that is in good repair, relatively clean, other members are there to work out (not just socialize). Some of the staff members are friendly and helpful (management and front desk). Dues are very affordable.
The biggest con is their trainers; most of them are cocky, rude, and don't have a clue what they're doing. The gym itself is no frills. No pool, raquetball, basketball, etc.
Worth the money, but stay away from most of the trainers. Their attitude will ruin your workout just by being near them.
