I was reluctant to eat at Ribs N Blues when I first moved here, but my friends insisted and I'm extremely glad they did! The employees are always very nice and the prices are good for what you get....and I've yet to have a bad meal there. The brunswick stew is the best I've ever had. I love taking out of town visitors here for a quick lunch and friendly atmosphere.
I went here for an anniversary dinner and was overall satisfied. The atmosphere was nice, the wait staff was very friendly and the food was tasty, but expensive for what you got. The desert was AMAZING, though, and it came with a cut orchid on the plate. Very sweet for the occasion. The biggest downfall is that they enforce a bit of a dress code, so if you're wanting to go there for a spontaneous romantic dinner, you have to make sure you're in at least business-casual.
By far one of my favorite places to eat. The wait staff here has always been courteous and willing to modify orders for picky eaters. The food there is great, as well, just what one would expect for a Friday's. The only downfall is weekend "courtesy" valet parking, but if you're like me and don't like other people driving your car, there's a parking lot behind the restaurant itself where you can avoid the valets if you're willing to climb a flight of stairs.
I used to be a fan of Lucky Buddha because it stayed open late, but it rapidly declined. The food is never prepared the same way twice and never as the menu has it listed. Completely forget about delivery, unless you like the driver to harass you about how much tip you give him -- he even brought along the receipt one night to wave in my face that $5 wasn't enough...not to mention it takes them over 45 minutes to drive four blocks on roads with little to no traffic. The orders are consistently wrong, even leaving out obvious things...like sauce and rice. The last time I called to ask about half of my order being missing, the lady who answered the phone was EXTREMELY rude and then hung up! Never again.
Having lived in Europe, I was genuinely very pleased with the quality of the Village Corner. The food may be a bit pricey for some, but it's well worth every cent, as it's AMAZING. I was ecstatic to find such authentic and delicious food offered in the area. The service is very personal and you're often waited on by the owners and greeted in German. There's also a bakery attached on the side so you can take home some wonderful treats or enjoy a homemade desert while there. I'm always looking for a reason to dine at the Village Corner...and highly recommend the Jaegerschnitzel.
The owners really know what they're doing and provide excellent customer service and quality work for extremely affordable prices. They also carry a very unique selection of jewelry and can cater to virtually any need you would have. I would, without a doubt, recommend this store to anybody.
