This club, owned and operated by Ed Kuras, offers group lessons that end up being rather expensive by the time the uniform, or gei, is purchased. The main goal is profit; large meets are scheduled that seem to make lots of money for someone. There are several instructors that work with groups and help students progress through different belt colors; some of the instructors are better than others.
There are now more than one veterinarians associated with this business, but I have only dealt with Dr. Alan Barclay. I found him to be very helpful, compassionate, and knowledgeable when he treated my dog. I know that the vets do much business for large animals and herds, but I have only dealt with them concerning the care of my pet.
These locksmiths install, replace, and repair locks in homes and cars. 24 hour emergency service is offered. I have only needed their service one time: they came quickly and very efficiently and respectfully helped me when I locked myself out of my car. I highly recommend them.
Good Chinese food They offer a wide variety of authentic Chinese food with beef, shrimp, chicken, pork, and vegetables. Diners can order off of the menu or choose to eat at a buffet. Hot tea is served with lunches and dinners. I love the lunches: the portions are not as big, they are less expensive, and crab rangoons are included with each entree. I recommend the cashew chicken.
This little bar, more of a beer place than a martini place, is run by Goose and Sue Buchen. They also sell packaged liquor to go. They try to plan social events once in a while. The Buchen's are good people and try to make everyone feel welcome.
This furniture store is rather large and carries a very good selection of all types of furniture. However, I am only giving them 3 stars because of the hard time I have getting waited on when I shop there. Several times I have actually wandered in the store for at least a half of an hour and not seen one sales person....no one even knew I was in the store!! This really makes shopping a problem if questions need to be asked or if i want to purchase something.
My parents recently switched some certificates of deposit to this facility because at the time slightly better interest rates were offered. I was impressed with the bright, clean, and modern building. My parents and I were all treated with courtesy and efficiency. This facility is close to the WIU campus; parking was easy and convenient. The only thing that was a bit of a nuisance was that my parents had to pay a very small fee to join. I checked interest rates several weeks later, and they were lower at this facility. I recommend checking rates at other facilities and then going with what is the best at the time.
This small shop is an excellent source for parts that are needed to repair bikes. They give courteous, fast service, and are eager to please. Although it is a small shop, they have a wealth of information, of bikes, and of parts.
This family owned business is a great source of information when information is needed for remodeling projects, particularly kitchens. They work with you to design exactly what you want. They also carry things like faucets, sinks, showers, toilets...a wide variety of supplies that make shopping easy without having to leave town. They are very helpful, and I highly recommend this store.
My dad had Lungren's detail his van. He was very pleased with the work that they did; his van was thoroughly cleaned and polished. Both the inside and the outside were done to his satisfaction. He said that he will be taking our other vehicles there as he was very satisfied!
