this is definitely one of the better record stores in the neighborhood. a good selection of everything. it's also laid out in an interesting way that makes it fun to watch other people go record hunting. they actually have really good things here beyond just staple old rock albums or staple jazz albums, so like any good record store you just got to look.
oh i love their breakfast, that is the meal i go there for anytime i'm there. they have this amazing dish that is a poached egg over creamy lox risotta. the service is attentive and detail-oriented. it's hard to get a seat on sundays, but well worth the wait. best time to go is to treat yourself to a weekday brunch!
it's okay chinese food. cheap and w/ msg probably, but it satisfies the hunger for americanized chinese food. they've got your normal selection of chinese food, but i particularly like thier egg rolls. it is really close to hampshire college and umass.
i love this place! it is a market place and restaurant in one. the people who work there are so nice, and they've got okay mexican food. i'm not that into their burritos, but their tacos are pretty good. i like that you can get all the really good mexican brands that are hard to find in your franchise western mass grocery store.
probably one of the most refine places to eat in the western mass area. a great selection of wines, and it is an especially good place to take your partner on a date if you wish to impress them with an elegant frenchy restaurant and pricey menu.
this is a great local coffee shop. they've got a wonderful staff, and you cannot go wrong with a just a plain coffee. they also have so many cute snacks you can get: flaxseed bars, or red vines- all delicious and fun. it's also a good place to go for a bagel in the morning. it's so nice to just sit on the bench, drink your coffee and sit with your dog.
this is a great service on weekdays when so many places are near close. they've got a good selection of college oriented fooderies. they'll also deliver right to your door. a savior for the procrastinating college student.
the bar i have dreams about! it's small and warm and they've got great people working there as well as an extensive beer collection. i miss it so much. it's a place i'll visit everytime i am back in the area.
what lovely people who work here, and what lovely things they sell. some of the best bread i have ever had, and i have visited many bakeries. it's the best place to go on a sunny winter day. they have a rotund brick oven that takes up half the place. artisan!
what horrible service they have. the people there know very little, and they are awkward and elitist. 400 hp5 and 400 delta are not the same thing! also they sold me the wrong paper (i asked them twice if it really was fiber paper, and they said yes but they actually sold me rc paper), and after i opened it in the darkroom (but did not use any of it), they would not let me return it!
