Now located on Highway 41 instead of in the downtown area of this small town, I found it hard to get an immediate appointment when needed. It might be due to the fact that Dr. Wakefield is involved in many other thing--like being the high school team's doctor. He is the only chiropractor I have ever been to; he tried, but was not able to help me.
I hired Rusty for a teenager's birthday party held in a local hall. He provided entertainment for a great and memorable evening; he got the kids up and involved in activities. I recommend his services for good times!
Ron has put on two new garage doors for us over the years. I recently had to have the last one serviced, as a spring broke. Ron came the same day I called him because I could not open the garage door. He quickly located the problem, went to get the needed part, and fixed it. I recommend him for fast service.
This is a great place in which to wander to look for special gifts and decorations. They carry many very interesting items. They sell flower arrangements and plants that can be delivered; they also do flowers for proms and weddings.
This business, owned by Jeff and Jill Jones, seems to have bounced back nicely from a fire that destroyed it over a year ago. Kay does excellent embroidery work, and orders are usually filled within several days.
Pumo has handled our family's needs for many years....insurance on health, our home, and our cars. They have always had someone get back to us quickly when we have had a question. The few claims that we have had have been quickly settled in a satisfactory way. Mr. Pumo seems very knowledgable about what he sells.
Many people use Shooting Stars for pictures of their children and for senior pictures for high school yearbooks. I had my senior pictures taken there. The owner allowed me to make several costume changes; he also took me to nearby locations, like a pond, to try for some interesting pictures. He was willing to really try to work with me.
This newspaper, delivered Monday through Saturday, seems to get worse with age. The news is often old. Even though the paper often has two sections, it usually takes me just a few minutes to read it. Macomb is a large enough town to merit a better paper!
This restaurant has a good menu of sandwiches. I strongly recommend their horseshoes and ponies: meat (ham, turkey, hamburger, grilled chicken) on toast topped with lattice fries, covered with cheese sauce, tomatoes, and onions. These are very filing; the pony, which is smaller than the horseshoe, is plenty large enough for many people.
This restaurant carries a great variety of sandwiches and short order types of food. The prime rib sandwich is really good, as is everything I have ever tried. I recommend this when a fancy restaurant is not desired...this is one where you can go as you are: very casual and comfortable.
