The one in Renton is more clean than the one on Rainier but they are both very good restaurants. The prices is around $6 or $7 without tax, and the service is also better at the Renton location. Overall however, good food.
I've been taking my shirts, pants, and even bridesmaid dresses here to get alterations done and they've done a wonderful job every single time. I don't think they even missed my measurements by an a centimeter! That shows real talented work! The price is affordable too. I think I pay anywhere from $5-$14 depending on what I get done. It's in a great location as well, because you don't have to go out of your way to drop off your garments. Just drop it off on your way to the nearby mall.
I've never done my dry cleaning here, and I'm not sure if they still do alterations, but I usually come to wash big things like comforters and blankets. It's totally safe and and in a good location. You can easily walk a few doors down to do your grocery shopping while you wait for your laundry to be done. There's normally an attendant there, so it's for the most part safe to leave your belongings in the washer, though if you can you should always stay with it. I've seen cleaner laundry mats, but this will do.
When they say one hour, they mean one hour. I took my dress in on the same day I had a big dinner plan because I had forgotten to the day before. I actually got it back in less than an hour and it only cost me $5+ tax! Normally, I would pay $7 or $8 anywhere else. The service is great and the staff is very helpful. It's also in a great location so you can do your shopping at the near by Fred Meyers while you wait for your garments to be dry cleaned. They also do good alterations!
I went to this school 3 years ago, and I've recommended it to all of my friend's parents who also loved it. The instructors were skilled and very helpful if you didn't understand the work. It's a small room with lots of little nooks and desks where students can move and learn at their own pace because they watch videos and answer questions individually, which is better because you don't have to bother with the annoying kid who has a lot of questions. The actual driving instructors are fun and you feel very safe and comfortable on the road with them. I can't remember exactly what I paid, but I do know that it was the second cheapest in town.
The staff was pretty welcoming and seemed knowledgeable, but my manicurist didn't pay as much close attention to cleaning my nails as other salons have in the past. The next day, the nail polished started chipping already, so I'm not sure how high quality their supplies are. The price was reasonable, but I've seen manicures for more affordable. It's not a bad location, I've just had better experiences.
Great food, it tastes homemade. They also have the best horchada in town! The staff is nice and the service is fast and great. They call everyone amigo, so you feel welcome right away. They also have a spot upstairs for large parties. The dishes are affordable ranging from $6-$13. It's also in a great location on the Ave in the U District. If you want quality Mexican food, I HIGHLY recommend stopping by Don Eduardo.
The staff was really helpful. They tried to make the only pair of frames I liked custom to fit my face. The price range was great and I think (with insurance) I only paid $20 out the door. However, the selection wasn't much to choose from, which was a little disappointing. But they do sell good quality frames and lenses at a low price.
They have one of the best Jasmine Milk Teas I've ever had. They are a little more expensive than the other bubble tea shops, but they sell good quality beverages. However, one thing I don't like is the tapioca pearls. They're really small and sometimes hard, so you end up choking on them if you're not careful. I prefer the larger, softer ones that add that extra texture to your drink
Turquoise Boutique is new to our community this year and is located up past Red Light, which means it doesn't get very many customers because most students hang out further down the Ave. However, this is a very affordable shop and has the latest trends. The prices are affordable and would perhaps be a better shopping experience since it's not as crowded as some of the other shops on the Ave. It's extremely clean and organized there, so it makes browsing an easy task! If you ever have a break, check it out.
