This is your typical old fashioned skating rink (a little larger than most). They have a full snack bar and an arcade. Many Saturdays are half price during certain hours - it's worth the call ahead.
You can get a concrete mixer here (very similar to a Dairy Queen Blizzard). They have a ton of different toppings to mix in. It's a great place to stop by, especially in the summer.
This bowling alley is located inside a multi-purpose activity center. Besides Bowling, there's a great arcade and an ice skating rink. They also have a full snack bar and adult bar.
If you're unlucky enough to be stuck in downtown Des Moines (it's actually not that bad), this is a great location to stay. There are numerous bars and restaurants within walking distance and we paid less than $75 for our room.
This small eatery is located in the Grosse Pointe area of Detroit. They have every topping imaginable for your hot dog and the staff is fast and friendly.
The Sheraton is a nice enough hotel, but I found their prices higher than comparable hotels in the area. I have only stayed here once, but make sure and do your homework.
This enormous hotel offers many discounts if you know who to ask. We were lucky enough to get a $99 rate for our team when we traveled there for a game. It always hosts athletic teams and it's in the heart of downtown, so you can walk everywhere. You can also look out your window and see Canada.
If you book a room here, make sure and request a waterfront view - it's well worth the extra money. The evening is particularly breathtaking with all the lights reflecting on the water.
This is a very nice hotel located in the heart of Indianapolis. You can walk anywhere you need to go in the area and there are multiple restaurants and bars within blocks. The rooms are spacious and it has all the amenities.
This motel was built after the hurricane and is just minutes from downtown. They have free continental breakfast and large, nice rooms. The staff is friendly.
