To be honest, I've only ever had their fruit smoothies but I've admired the food of other diners while waiting for my drinks! They make a terrific banana soymilk shake and the patio area outside is very cute. One of these weekends I'm going to go down there for brunch and hang out. The decor inside is very fresh and the staff are really nice.
I've eaten here several times and the food is always good--definitely a steak and potatoes kind of place but it works. Great place to meet friends for dinner. My only complaint is that I've never been able to order a well-done steak--they just won't cook them. Oh well, medium-well was good enough but I still thought it was funny that you can't even get a well-done chopped steak here. Other than that, I've enjoyed my meals here.
This is a great little restaurant in super-cute Montrose. The waitstaff are friendly, the food is good and the portions means there's always leftovers. Everything I've tried here has been great--make sure you order for the table and share so you can try a variety of stuff. It gets crowded on the weekends so make a reservation or be prepared to wait a bit. They do have outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Just keep in mind that the rest of the restaurant is pretty much all in one big room so it can sometimes be noisy if there are a lot of big parties eating all at once.
This store has a great variety of clothing in all sizes. I've found some very cute 50's & 60's sundresses there in excellent condition. Make sure you check out the second floor too! I agree with the other reviewer that this is a great place to go for Halloween costumes. They also change their store windows frequently, adding clothes to fit the season or occasion (loved the prom gown and suit display in May!). Huge selection of men's and women's clothing.
I love this shop--lots of fun stuff to be had. Prices are reasonable and clothes are in good shape-not like Salvation Army or thrift stores where you have to really inspect every item. Great selection of argyle vests, for some reason! I found a $120 Ann Taylor petite dress that was new with tags for only $20. Lots of fun vintage t-shirts too. Got a free scarf with purchase too. Check it out.
We stood in line for an hour to get into this restaurant at 2 PM on a Saturday. We finally get inside and the place is practically empty with servers almost outnumbering customers. Not sure why we had to wait so long. We got to sit out on the little "patio" that overlooks the gaming floor which was kind of fun but the food was only ok, not the greatest and the server was slow to take our order and slow to deliver the food. I wish we had gone to the little creperie where you order at the window instead because we wasted almost 2 hours on lunch when we could have been sightseeing.
The hotel itself is very pretty, gorgeous lobby and the rooms are very high-end chic (including a tv imbedded in the bathroom mirror). However, I wasn't impressed with the rest of the hotel. For one thing, it's about a 1/2 mile off the strip and there are no sidewalks on that side of the street or many streetlamps so I found myself stumbling on gravel in my heels to get to the strip at night. Second, there's no self-parking, it's valet only and they charge you by the day. Valet service was often slow and we were almost late for the wedding we were attending because they misplaced our car and spent 40 minutes trying to find it. Third, there's no restaurant in the hotel so if you're hungry you have to hoof it to the strip or wait for the valet to bring your car and then hope you can find some restaurant with parking. Fourth, our room was without coffee the first day there and it took 3 phone calls and over 2 hours for them to bring us two little packs of coffee (during which time we walked to a Starbucks on the Strip and came back to the room). I will not stay here again--it's just not worth the money when there are so many other great hotels in Vegas with better locations and better service.
This hotel is very classy--lots of luxury included a very, very comfortable bed. The room was a bit small and there was no bathtub, just a shower, but it worked out fine for our long-weekend stay. Lots of nice wide windows. The food in the hotel restaurant is pretty good but rather expensive-we only ate there the night we checked in because it was late and we were too tired to go find somewhere else to eat. They offer room service for breakfast only but it's really expensive. Good location though and the valet parking is reasonably priced, there's not really any affordable self-parking facilities nearby.
I stumbled upon this place by accident and boy am I glad I did. I'm from PA originally and these cheesesteaks are pretty authentic. Try it with mushrooms--yum! The sandwiches are huge and reasonably priced. They even have Tastycakes for dessert--makes me homesick...Perfect dinner before heading to the movie theater around the corner.
Their mini bundt cakes are so cute and very tasty. I got a box for a work function and they were a big hit. Excellent selection of flavors to please everyone. Try the pumpkin--it's delicious.
