first, I've only eaten breakfast here, so that"s all I can speak to. But that said, the memu is typical for breakfast and for a smaller town place. BUT, the bacon is consistenly bad - charred and yucky. So just skip it and get the sausage which is fine. No special atmosphere, but most wouldn't expect it.
keeping in mind that this is a small town, all-purpose hardware store, its a good choice that often will servie your basic needs as well as some extras. Rental items available, seasonal items available. I'm a summer resident, and this is often where I can get the stuff I need for small fixes around the house. its nice to patronize the small, local, long ime businesses as well and that these guys
I'm not a big pancake person, but my daughter is so we go here pretty frequently. I love the pumpkin pancakes. But if you are a bacon eater - you have found heaven! The bacon is so thick its more like a slice of ham or something! It has wonderful flavor. I could go just for the bacon! Prices are a little on the high side, but it you love pancakes, want some different selections, or love bacon, its well worth it. Can be a wait Sat and Sunday mornings.
I love eating breakfast out and I come here a lot because my parents love it and we meet them here, but I find it just ok. Portion sizes good, bacon usually overcooked, hashbrowns usually undercooked. You always get an extra egg, so remember that when you order!
So, OK, but go because they're pretty kick and they menu has all the basics.
I've been a mario tricoci client for about 5 years, off and on, and some of that was at the Old Orchard location. I loved my first stylist, but she left after she had a baby. My second stylist was also wonderful, but then after her baby, she reduced her hours and I could never get in to her. I've been bouncing around stylists since then and you definitely don't get as good service when you don't have a regular stylist. I've been getting color services from Casandra for years and she's fabulous! I also love Carly for make-up services. I've always been happy with the manicure, pedicure and spa services. Overall, I really like this place, I just recommend always getting a senior stylist until you find one to stick with. Prices are high, but I'm one of those willing to pay for good hair care. If you book all your services in one visit, you often get a free make up application!
My daughter loves going to Dr brown, actually was glad to hear she had a cavity. So....she's probably a little atypical, but the staff is so nice to her that its not surprising. She loves the mini chapstick she gets each time she goes. The hours aren't bad and I can usually get in within a ten day period. They are good with insurance processing, never any problems. They were a recommendation when we moved to Naperville and they were a great find.
We have tried every (just about) Chinese place in town and House of Emperor is clearly the best. Wonderful flavor, always fresh, just wonderful. A tinge pricey compared to others, but well worth it. Fast prep for carry-out and good service when you eat in. They deliver, but I usually get carry-out. I love the sesame chicken, the shrimp in oyster sauce, pork fried rice. Crab rangoon good, eggrolls purportedly good but I'm not an eggroll eater. Just wonderful. Everyone should try it!!!
I'm a huge fan of frozed, grocery store Home Run Inn Pizza so I anxiously awaited the opening of this location. But I've been there twice and each time, the pizza wasn't that good, the service was bad and its incredibly expensive for thin crust. Even more daughter said she liked the frozed pizza better. I just wouldn't go and I don't recommend it. My parents and brother and his kids came with us once and they all agree. We tried pasta dishes as well and they were boring and not that flavorful. Just skip it - buy a pizza at the grocery store.
My family are big Oberweis fans, but we had to try forzen custard. I'm NOT a big ice cream person, but I love shakes and I really, relaly, really like the freezes - rootbeer or orange are favorites. Its definitely pricey, but its a great alternative to your other more familiar ice cream stops. There is no place to sit, I think to keep the mass of teens down maybe? But keep that in mind, more of a drive-thru place (and they have drive-thru).
I really like this place - prices are a little bit higher than fast food, but everything is freshly made and tastes great. Especially love the quesadillas. They come with guacamole, beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, sourcream. I love the nacho chips - salty, a little greasy, kind of thin and light. Fast place, great for kids. I share a meal with my ten year old and we're both stuffed.
