El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant
This place is worth the drive if you don't live near it. The food is really delicious... you will crave it after you've had it once! They have great enchiladas, and their chips and salsa are really really good!
Princess Garden Restaurant
Went here once, just because it was the closest Chinese place and that's what we were in the mood for. Probably wouldn't go again, just because I wasn't blown away by anything this restaurant had to offer. It's pretty much like any other average Chinese restaurant you have been to - nothing to brag about here.
Georges Pizza
I heard that this place was supposed to have some of the best St. Louis style pizza in town, so I gave it a shot. In my opinion, the food is just okay, not stellar by any means. My favority St. Louis style pizza in town would be at Waldo pizza, not this place.
La Morra
This place was my favorite place to eat at whenever I would go visit my friend in Boston. Their food is second to none. Really delicious appetizers, salad, and their pasta is fabulous. Their wine list is also very nice and relatively inexpensive.
New Paris Bakery & Candy Shop
My best friend used to stop by this place on her way home from work and grab some baked goods to go along with dinner. It is very small and independently owned... a good place if you're in a hurry.
Zen 320
Went to visit a friend in Boston, and we stopped by this place. She goes there once every 2 weeks or so... it was an okay place to go if you are in the mood for some sushi, but don't want to spend a lot of money. Just don't expect the quality to be great.
J Murphy's Irish Pub & Grille
If you don't necessarily want to go someplace fancy, but you are looking for something a little classier than an Applebees or Chilis, then try this place out. They have all of the usual bar & grill dishes, but they also have middle eastern dishes that are very very good.
Room 39
This place is super cute, just a cozy little cafe off 39th street. They have an interesting and unique menu that changes almost daily, and they serve fresh bread with the food. The staff is very friendly.
Texas Tom's Restaurants
This place definitely wouldn't be my first choice for fast food, but it's good enough. They have a variety of americanized choices on their menu (pretty much like mcdonalds).
Harrah's North Kansas City
This is a pretty popular casino in the area, and my personal favorite. They have tons of slot machines and tables always open, no matter what game you want to play. They also have an amazing buffet!
