I am not sure why. The food is good and the price is right but it's not outstanding. You can order the flour chips, which are a nice change from corn. The service is good. For quick and relatively cheap, give it a try. Just don't expect outstanding.
This realty company is pretty shady in their dealings. One realtor told me that I had to use a certain mortgage company to get my loan. When I called the broker, he laughed and said that the realtor was just the way he was. However, it's illegal to do that.
Most of the time, your mortgage company will tell you what title company they recommend. However, you can chose your own. I do not recommend Chicago Title. They were extremely slow, unresponsive and not very customer service oriented.
I thought this was a new bagel shop in Modesto. I didn't realize it was related to the one on McHenry Ave. They are pricey as you can pick up the same bagel at the grocery store in the plastic bags. Don't bother. The outside isn't crunchy, the inside isn't chewy.
Their bagels are not very good. They taste like store bought bagels that you can pick up at the supermarket in the plastic bags. Unfortunately there are no good bagels in Modesto. The closest thing to a real bagel are the bagels at the Safeway bakery.
This is a fun place to go if you like Mexican baked goods. And if you haven't tried them, then I recommend you stop in and pick a some to try. They bake fresh and the staff is really friendly.
The plants are healthy. They offer a large variety of plants and trees. The staff is friendly. Depends on who you talk to as to their knowledge. It isn't the best nursery in town but if you live nearby it's a good place to stop in.
The food wasn't very good. The pita bread was old and the sandwich fell apart when I tried to eat it. They didn't have gyros (it's their name) so had swarma. Not worth it. The prices are cheap but the food isn't good. The staff is over the top friendly.
I wanted to purchase a bank owned property listed by Matel. I was told that I could only use their mortgage guy who worked for Countrywide. They also, didn't believe that I was interested in the house and required a $10,000 good faith deposit. Once the house was inspected by my person, I made an offer. They rejected my offer of $300k. The house has since sat on the market for years. Also, is not even worth $200k today. THANK YOU Matel for being so shady!
Ambeck is owned and operated by people born and raised in Modesto. They are very community oriented and know the area and their business. I enjoyed working with them on my home loan. I was new to purchasing a home and they walked by through all the processes.
