Our pup, Rocket, loves Dog Abby. He's always so tired when he comes home because he plays, plays, plays. They are really careful about who they accept, so there are only really nice dogs there.
Going to Josies for dinner is like shopping at the Park Slope food coop. You know that whatever you end up with, it will be good for you. And delicious. I'm a fan!
Oh, how I miss Bruno (he's still there, but I've moved). The ravioli was incredible. And remarkably cheap! This was the best, easiest weeknight meal for my family. I used to go down and get ravioli there at least once a week. He's got other great fresh pastas too. And cannolis!
This little shop has fantastic lunches. The cobb salad is perfectly delicious. The vinaigrette is fantastic. They've got great sandwiches too.
This was one of my favorite Indian restaurants on the UWS when we lived up there. The food is pretty good, and unlike a lot of Indian restaurants, it's nice to eat in there too. But it's still not nearly as good as some other Indian restaurants in other neighborhoods.
This is a wonderfully cozy, romantic restaurant with delicious food. The food is secondary to the great atmosphere though. It's not a place to go with kids - but a great date place. Hard to get in though - there's always a line.
Mana has good food - creatively prepared with high quality ingredients. You know that what you get there will be healthy too - sometimes a little too healthy for me. :)
Lenny's has fantastic sandwiches. The salads aren't bad, but what you come for are the sandwiches. Fresh, interesting, made to order, high quality ingredients, great combinations. What more could you ask for?
I loved going to Turkuaz when I lived on the UWS. Great appetizers with delicious grilled pita bread. My only complaint is that it's kind of pricey. We would go there with the kids and before we knew it, the bill was $120 or more... without drinks. But, reliably good.
This is a great place that is so little known - I can't imagine why. The food is terrific and the atmosphere is cozy and warm. I love Savann!
