This is a cute little cafe with a good selection of coffee drinks and sandwiches. I like to sit here and use the free wi-fi that's offered! Sometimes it can be a little too small, though, and then it gets crowded.
The place is nicely decorated, and they have a pretty good menu, but the service is not great. The food is also kind of hit and miss; sometimes it's really good, like their mango salad, but sometimes it can be really bad.
This place is a gem! The flavors of the food are rich and delicious. They have a great vegetarian menu, so I can go there with any of my friends. I especially love eating the lamb! The service is also really great, definitely a must to visit!
This place is fairly new, and the food was pretty decent for Chinese fast food. We ordered the food at the counter, and then they actually brought the food over to our table. They had a good selection, but then one of the women at the counter went to our table and just stood there for a bit, watching us... It was a little creepy, but everyone else was really nice, and I would go back if I'm craving some quick Chinese food.
Glitterati has a good selection of jewelry for all kinds of tastes. I like to go there for little gifts for friends, but sometimes the prices can be a little much. And the people there aren't always very friendly. They're not rude, but they can be kind of cold and uninviting.
What a find! Our neighbors had their hardwood floors refinished by this company and referred them to us--much to our absolute joy. Mr. Le was professional and quick with his free estimate (a great price), and when we hired them to do the work, we were very pleased with the excellent work and friendly service. The workers came back several times to fix a few trouble spots, and it was no problem whatsoever. We would very highly recommend this company to everyone in the Bay Area who needs to have their hardwood floors refinished.
Cleaners abound in our neighborhood, but my husband chose this establishment partly because the proprietor is nice and the location very convenient for him. He has his clothes dry cleaned here as well as his white shirts laundered and pressed. Service is pretty good when the owner or his wife, May, is serving you. Perhaps the major problem has occurred when a couple of my husband's silk shirts were ruined (very small holes from ironing, perhaps). But he seems satisfied enough not to want to bother with this, although I'm sure if it happens again, he'll be back to looking for another cleaner.
This is a fairly new shop that opened up in our neighborhood, run by May (the shop a few doors away is called May Cleaners and is run by her husband). It's nice having a flower shop right in our neighborhood, and our family tries as much as possible to frequent the local establishments. The selection of flowers is sometimes a little sparse, and not always choices to knock your socks off. When May is not busy and in a good mood, the service is wonderful; when she is stressed with orders, you can get the feeling you're bothering her with your meager request for a single bouquet. But if you live near Lake Merritt, this can be a nice resource for flowers for someone special.
A small but complete hardware store with the most knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient experts to help you with any of your needs. Plenty of parking. There's also a pharmacy on the premises so you can take care of your prescription needs while buying your needed hardware.
A great printer--just ask for Ben Kwok, who will give you personal attention. They seldom err, but the one time they did, they immediately paid for it with a discount on their already very reasonable price. Good folks to work with--highly recommended.
