My husband and I were given a gift certificate for 2 nights there. It was so nice and the lake-front room was a treat. We wished we could have experienced it in the summer, but this off-season made it quiet and private. The room was clean, the desk and housekeeping staff were helpful and very good. We will go back again sometimes - and bring a boat!
Barnaby's has been around for years and they continue to offer wonderful service and delicious food. We had a large group in their private room and I wasn concerned when they only assigned one waitress to our group of 30. She handled it like a pro! Nobody was missing anything or waiting for others to get their food. She remembered all the drinks and special requests. The price was very good and they made a special effort to decorate the room in the color and flowers of our event.
I love that they've opened this new location near the Renton Airport on Rainier Ave. It's so clean and fresh. They have the best selection of food at the "buffet" to load up your plate and the same, wonderful grillers to cook it. It's one of the places left that's truly an all-you-can-eat - you can go back as often as you want to. It's a little spendy because of that, but it's worth it. It's not a good deal for kids or people who only like noodles & meat. The pleasure of the place is the huge variety and mass quantity of food.
Chopstix is the best chinese I've ever had! The portions are huge and the prices are good. The owner - operator - waiter is always so friendly and remembers my "usual" even though I'm only in there once every couple of months. I've never taken out and I will try that sometime. Eating it is ok - except they need to spend some time cleaning or painting the walls from where kids have smeared their messy hands on the wall when seated in a booth. A table in the middle of the room and you'd never notice! I highly recommend them.
Baseball Supply is a good place if you want to touch & feel what you're getting first. But their prices don't compare to the internet sales. As for printing uniforms, they outsource it so you might as well find your own printer and cut out the middle man. They're nice people, there and will try to help as much as they can.
We've used Print NW for letterhead, business envelopes, brochures and newsletters. They are a little slow on the turn around on the jobs, and it takes alot of explaining for even the simplist order. The biggest problem is they print everything as if it came to them perfect and don't give any assistance in proofreading. So if you missed a typo -don't count on the printer to catch it. The nice thing is that they are very reasonbly priced and they deliver.
Emerald City Graphics does really nice print work. They're a little expensive, but if you want your publication to look really good - they'll do it for you. We've used them for everything from business cards to full catalog printing. They're very good.
The PJ takes on more commercial jobs now, but still works on those emergency house calls. What is nice is that they give you some advice and options over the phone before coming and charging you with an expensive ermegency service call. They are all licensed and certified, hand choosing their apprentices to raise up within the company. They retain their employees and that says alot. They're expensive but what plumber isnt?
We've used Evergreen for all three of our teenagers over the past 6 years. It's so convenient the way they can work at their own pace to do the classwork and take the testing. Scheduling drives is difficult because of the style of class training, there's really no limit on number of students enrolled at any given time. Then they're all wanting to take their driving times and it gets backed up. Mark (owner) is great about working with your schedule to get it done. They're a little more than the others but the convenience is so very worth it!
This is a pretty large grocery store with all the usual choices. Better than that, you can find all the traditional Mexican staples and specialties. They even serve hot churro's all day long. It reminds me of many of the So.Cal markets. The prices are good and the cashiers are friendly. Despite the location, it is a clean and safe store to be shopping in.
