B J's Family Fun Ctr
My parents and I took my sister to BJ's Family Fun Center last year while we were all on vacation, for something for her to enjoy more, and also as something the whole family could get into. We all had a great time playing miniature golf, I and my dad betting against each other on how many times it would take us to make a whole-in each # whole, arcade games, and stuffed animal and candy machines. This is the place to go and take the young at heart, and family alike, it's very cheap entertainment! I would recommend BJ's Family Fun Center to anyone and everyone in Ocean Shore's.
Cutting Edge Kites Of Ocean
Last year when my family and I were in Ocean Shores the weather was so perfect for flying kites along the beach that we thought we just had to stop in Cutting Edge Kites and buy a few kites to fly while at the beach for the day. Me and my dad both ended up buying a beginner stunt kite after watching a guy on the beach the previous day fly his, and make it do all these windy loop-de-loops! It was very entertaining to watch, but we really wanted to try it out ourselves too so...The staff inside the kite shop were very friendly and helpful with us, in helping us pick a good kite, from about a thousand or so they had displayed and hanging up all over the shop. It was quite whimsical inside the kite shop. He also made sure to give us our proper instructions for starting out in flying a stunt kite, because we had never flown one before..."most importantly, never cross your arms, and always keep your hands tucked in close to your chest instead of held out in front and away from the body!", he would tell us. The kites range in prices depending on the style, size, and purpose of the kite you are looking to purchase, but they are very reasonable and fairly cheap at best. I would recommend this kite shop to people out on the beach looking to have a good time and enjoy each others company. :)
Specialties For You
Peering through this gift shop last summer keeping in mind of our loved ones, family, and friends, this shop was ideal, because it seemed as though this gift shop was made for people in town just visiting to purchase things for others so that they may have a little piece of Ocean Shores to take with them wherever they may go, incase they may never get to visit Ocean Shores beaches and the ocean itself, this would make up for the partial lost. My family and I choose a beautiful little hand-crafted beach and ocean scene knick-knack statue to send to my grandma in Oregon. I would recommend this tiny gift shop to anyone returning home to loved ones, family, and friends, who plans on sharing there experiences and treasures along with them. The prices fluctuate depending on what you have your eye on in there, and what's in-store. The store was well maintained although it seemed to feel a bit up tight and cluttered.
Beach Treasures
This past summer my family and I ventured in to this shop while in town at Ocean Shore's to take a peek, and see what the store was all about. The store was full of what a beach comber might find, or used to find...for instance, old fashioned woven glass balls, buoys, anchors, boat flags, light house parts, old fashioned bells that chime, glass bottles, jars, rope, shells, sand dollars, agates, etc. You guess it and they probably have it, if it possibly could have turned up at the beach during some point in time (within reason)! This place held a lot of very interesting finds and things. I would recommend anyone to come and check out his place, and discover the possibilities that await you on the shores of the ocean! I know I had fun glancing through here and wondering what I might find at the beach the next morning during high tide...
One Stop Shell Shop
This past summer my parents, sister, and I walked through this shell shop to see what all there was to see. And the place was filled with different ideas and uses for sea shells...lamps, lights, night lights, handles, hermit crab shells, you name it they thought of it already! The different uses, styles, and color and sizes of shells are priced accordingly. This was quite a unique and interesting shop to walk through. I would recommend this shop to those who love and are seeking sea shells to complete their project or an idea they had in mind.
Dusty Trunk
This past summer when my family and I were in town we managed to stop in this old antiques gift shop to check out what might be in store. And we were amazed at what all we discovered. There were tons and tons of old time stylish antiques and beach combers finds (i.e. old thoven glass balls, nets, glass bottles and jars) at fairly decent prices for there aged and worn out appearances. I would recommend this old time shop to anyone looking for out dated materials and things. And over all the shop was really clean and well organized.
First Cabin
Last summer when my family and I walked through this gift shop we were surprised at all the different types of wood carved things, animals, and handy household crafted appliances like lamps and light fixtures, shelving, and tables. My family and I are partial towards the outdoor scenic themed decor for indoors. We love brown bear figurines, etc. And this store was perfect for my parents seeming??s how they were trying to create an outdoorsy theme for their bedroom back home, so they came home with a lot of great ideas and a few things from the store of course. I would recommend this shop to anyone that loves the outdoors and the outdoorsy themes. Although, the pricing we felt was a bit high, and store was well organized and tidy. The lady at the counter was very friendly and courteous as well. We had a great time in this particular shop.
Mermaid Cove Gallery & Gifts
When I and my family were visiting Ocean Shore's for two weeks this past summer we stopped in this little Themed shop to look around. They definitely specialize in mermaid memorabilia and themes, but they have a lot more to offer besides just mermaid stuff. They have balloons, customized framing, light house stuff, fairy nick-knacks, and personalized post cards specialized according to the underlying meaning, individually hand-crafted. I loved looking through this shop in particular, because of the pricing and girliy / friendship-like vibe of the stuff and atmosphere. The store was well organized and very clean. I would recommend this little shop to the young women at heart.
Too Cool Sportswear
When my family and I came here this last summer for two weeks vacation we stopped in here and each of us got an Ocean Shore's sweat shirt. Although, they carried a lot of other stuff like, sweat pants, tank tops, and shirts for both men and women, and pajama pants. I loved looking at all the different styles and colors they carried in the shop for customizing your sweatshirts and apparel. They have all different sizes to choose from. The clothing you take up to the front counter to customize to your liking...with screen print designs, logo's, and borders. The lady at the front desk was very very friendly, helpful, and idealistic, showing us various ideas and mock clothing prints of some of the designs. I would really recommend anyone going to Ocean Shore's for vacation and looking for a great souvenir to come to this fashionable custom clothing shop. :) It was a fun experience.
Bay Gifts Of Ocean Shores
While in Ocean Shores for two weeks summer vacation, my family and I stopped in here to look around at the nick-knacks and things they offered. The store was kept very clean, but it seemed a bit too cluttered to be able to walk through, I mean I bet a wheel chair wouldn't be able to have decent access through the shop which is not fair. Other than that the prices of merchandise was okay, and most of it was of coastal and beach things and nick-knack. I would recommend this gift shop to those visiting Ocean Shore's on vacation. :)
