We chose Preservation Kitchen for the many postiive reviews on many web sites. The stringbean/duck confit salad was awesome as was the chicken and stringbeans. The polenta tots and arugula salad were fair. The atmosphere is nice.
Big problem: The waiter offered and I selected coarsely ground pepper on my wild mushroom risotto. I bit into a small stone (I checked, it wasn't a peppercorn) that must have been in the rice. The waiter offered to get me another serving and all they did was replate the same one - I could tell because I refused pepper the second time and there were pieces of peppercorn in the dish. This is NOT a way to treat customers. I do not intend to return.
