I recently went to New Milford Thrift Mart to look for Halloween costumes for 3 children ages 4-9. They all wanted to have original costumes as opposed to store bought and Thrift was the place to go. We found everything needed for a pirate, a gypsy and a wizard and it totaled less than $20. The kids all got compliments on their costumes and I was very happy. Great place to shop for costumes or everyday clothing.
I used Balmoral when I wanted to cremate my dog after she passed away. The staff was very friendly over the phone and talked with me about my options. They were very sympathetic to my loss and seemed to really understand. I was very pleased with them and I would highly recommend them.
Feed Barn is great! I have used them over the years for my horse and livestock feed. They stock Purina and Blue Seal feeds and Top Bedding. Their prices are very reasonable and they sometimes will offer bulk discounts on horse feed. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend them.
I used Candlewood Animal Hospital for emergency surgery on my dog when she had ingested a rope chew toy. She was in a great deal of distress and very out of sorts and the staff was wonderful with her. They did an amazing job caring for her and she made a full recovery. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs animal surgery or just for regular vet care.
I have gone to Park Lane Cider Mill since I was a child. We always go there to buy fresh picked apples and tasty fresh pressed apple cider. They stock a very nice selection of apples and their prices are very reasonable. In addition to apples they also sell pumpkins & gourds for Halloween & Thanksgiving. I would highly recommend them!
I have used Jamco Refuse for dumpsters for the house cleanouts that I do. They are very reliable and drop off/pick up dumpsters when they say they will. Also, they are always very pleasant when they have to work around a tough parking situation and put the dumpster where you want it instead of whats easiest. Great guys and great prices!
I use Best Sanitation for my trash pickup at my home and my horse barn. Their guys are very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. They even go the extra mile to push the cans back into the driveway instead of leaving them curbside to cause a problem in the wind. I would highly recommend them.
I went to Quiet Zone in Bantam to get my CT emissions test done on my car. My vehicle is in good shape and runs totally fine. I was about to get my car tested and the guy told me that he couldn't bc he thought my car had an exhaust leak. He told me that he needed to put it on the lift and diagnose it before he would test it and that was going to be $186. I said no thank you and told him that I would have my boyfriend check it at home. The mechanic then asked me if my boyfriend was qualified to check or fix the exhaust. I told him yes, he's a mechanic himself and would gladly diagnose & fix my problem for less then $186. The man then was very rude and told me I didn't need to BS him and that I could get try to get my car tested elsewhere. The car was checked, the exhaust was fine and I suspect that Quiet Zone was trying to scam me.
I love Italia Mia. This restaurant is great and offers an excellent menu of traditional Italian foods. This one time we drove almost 45 mins to eat there only to find that they were closed when we got there. The kitchen staff was still there although the restaurant was closed and they saw us in the parking lot. They were so nice after we told them that we drove all this way to eat that they made us our pizza!!! Thats a place that really cares about their customers. I highly recommend them and try the Pollo Al Pesto pizza.
I love watching movies @ Bantam Cinema. It's a great little movie house tucked in on a side street right off of Rt. 209. They offer obsure movies that you can't find at alot of the mainstream chain theaters. It's very clean, the staff is friendly and Woods Pit BBQ is right next door for a great pre-movie dinner or post-movie drink.
