ACME Markets

I went to this Acme last Friday. I had been there before just to get a few items. I never really took notice to all the freshly prepared foods they had. Their fruit section was really plentiful as well. I had the guy in the fish dept. steam my shrimp and bought some fish as well. He was great. The fish was amazing and cut thick.

What really made me happy here was that the cashier and bagger were both so helpful and friendly. I was also excited to see that I can take the cart to my car. With three kids (including a 2 year old) in tow, it is wonderful to be able to do that! They even offered to help me to my car. I didn't take them up on it but it was nice to hear people actually seeming to care.

Pizza City

Pizza City has those special oven trucks which means the food is always hot when delivered. They're pretty fast and the prices are reasonable. Their steak stromboli is the best anywhere. They make great cheese steaks and pizza as well. They have great mozz sticks, mini tacos and chicken fingers. The fries could always use more salt but they give you a ton in your order.

The only downfalls to this place, in my opinion, is that they don't take credit/debit cards which many places now do. It would be easier so we don't have to stop and get cash out before going there or getting delivery. They also don't have two liter sodas. You have to get fountain sodas. This is only a problem for me since we are a family of five and everyone wants their own cup.

Soll Eye | Cooper Division

I went here for an eye infection. The staff upfront seemed friendly. The doctor I had told me to come back for glasses after my eye healed. I did and he gave me a script for progressives. I have never worn glasses before. I went elsewhere to get them filled. I had a hard time seeing out of them without a major migraine happening afterwards.

I went back for the 6 months appointment only to hear from another doctor at Soll that the script was incorrect as he wrote me another. This doctor was horrible. He was rushing throughout the entire exam. I was very mad since I waited nearly an hour to see him. He took a phone call during my exam and acted as he had somewhere better to be than being stuck in the exam room with me. He was very rude as well. I kept quiet since I was so uncomfortable.

I went back to the place where I had the glasses made. I decided since they had a doctor there, I'd get a third opinion before paying for the glasses to be changed. I am glad I did. I went back a few days later to see her. She said I didn't need progressives and both scripts were completely off! I trusted her as she was very thorough and did a retnial scan. I had her script filled and it's perfect. I have no more eye strain. I wouldn't want anyone else to go to Soll if they have the kind of experience I had.

Medport Diner & Restaurant

I hosted a bridal shower at the Medford yesterday. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was really enjoyable and the presentation, lovely. The cake was delightful. Honestly, I was surprised at the quality of the food since the place looks like an old fashioned diner without much flair. We had gone to another diner in the area that we had considered superior in looks to this one, however their food and staff left a bad taste in our mouths. It's a nice place for a party. They will take care of you here.

My husband and I ate there a few weeks before to test out the food. I had the burger, done perfect. He had the special and an extra creamy milkshake. He said it was the best he ever had. They have a lot of different milkshake choices but he went for chocolate. My parents and Aunts ate there a few times recently and said the food was hot, tasty and pentiful.

Although I am in Philadelphia, I'll make the drive over again real soon to go to this place.
