We used to go to Zorba for lunch- the reviews amongst my coworkers were mixed. The food was a little too greasy & 2 of my coworkers would only eat a burger there (& yes- they like Greek food- they eat it @ Opa Grille down the street all the time now).
Although you get a lot of food with the lunch special (I think everything came with soup & salad or fries) & there was plenty of pita & yogurt sauce to go around, you may be getting what you pay for. The last time we went there my coworker saw a cockroach on the way out- & that was THE last time we ate there.
We started going here for lunch b/c Zorba the Greek is gross. The waitresses are all really nice & the lunch specials are well-priced. The food is really good too- I like the chicken gyro over salad & my coworkers love the chicken caesar wrap, as well as the calamari. Also- they may have the best fries I've ever had. The older waitress is a little slow & can get overwhelmed if it's crowded so if you're going with a large group it's a good idea to call ahead.
I bring my mother's dog here- a 14-yr old Bichon Frise. We started going to this vet b/c they have a scope that they use for the dog's ears.
2 months ago our dog lost the use of his back legs. We went to the emergency vet 1st since it was over Labor Day weekend & he told us there was basically nothing we could do. Dr Dougherty recommended 'alignments' and gave him a cortisone shot. He used this thing to tap along the dog's spine- we had a few appointments & the dog now walks again! It was inexpensive & a GREAT alternative to surgery (which the Dr said may not even work).
If I lived closer, I would bring my own dog here. I WILL bring him here for any issues that are not regular 'day to day' care issues.
Convenient and the food is good. The service is always quick. I HIGHLY recommend the desert- I don't know where they get it from or if they make it on site- but all the cakes & pies are so good. It's even more convenient now that it's open 24 hrs on weekends.
My roommate & I used to eat here when we moved to Auburndale in 2006. At that time we thought the food was good. At the end of that year, we noticed that the sushi wasn't as fresh & there was one time that we ordered food to pick up & when we went there to get it, they had closed- even though they were supposed to be open for another 20 mins.
Since moving from the immediate area, we went back once & still found the food to be worse than we remembered. We found a better Japanese restaurant on Union Tpk that we now go to instead.
I like this restaurant for both the food and the restaurant ambiance. The food is good & is not too oily- I like to judge a Thai restaurant by its pahd thai & BKNY's is one of the best. I like the pineapple fried rice & the rice with crab that is often on the "specials" menu. They offer lunch specials that are well-priced & are offered on weekends too. I like the set-up of the restaurant- it's relaxing without being too dark/ poorly lit.
There's parking lot in the back which makes it convenient & the restaurant layout is very conducive to large parties/ gatherings.
One note: The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
Unlike many chain pet store, Pet Menu carries "hard to find" products, like the natural food we feed our dog (California Natural). I think that the prices are average & they always have the food in stock- & they always have baked treats (the ones that look like cookies) in stock. They also have a good return policy- I've purchased a collar & brush that I needed to return & had no problems doing so.
One small complaint- I bring my dog into the store (since he needs to work on his socialization skills). I assume this is ok since it's a pet store that provides grooming services also but (who I believe to be) the owner always gives me dirty looks when we walk in the door- he's never said anything but if they weren't the only place that carried the food in my area, it might stop me from shopping there...
