I loooove the ramen here. It's customizable and very authentic. The place is small so there is almost always a wait, but it's totally worth it because the ramen is so good. I also love their Soboro don and chikuwa tempura.
Several of my friends worked at South End so I would go before or after their work and we would play tennis, swim, or work out. The facility is extremely nice and everything is clean. It's rarely so crowded that you would need to wait in line for machines. The food that they sell at the snack bar is also great (I used to always get a caesar salad and grilled cheese).
I used to skate up in PV but I would go to Skating Edge every now and then. It is a very large rink but the inside is very bland, boring, and dreary. I wish they used different lights to brighten up the place, but overall their open times are good.
Anyway, I grew up around this pier and it has what you expect: places to walk, random seafood restaurants, small food stores, an arcade (with a wicked spinny ride), and boats. It's never super crowded (since Manhattan and Santa Monica are not too far off).
I LOVE going to Catalina! Everything about it is great. The walls have murals painted on it, the couches and chairs are oversized, the cups are oversized, the tables are chess tables, furniture is mismatched but cozy, there's a fireplace, and there is even a little library area. I'm not really into coffee but their hot chocolate is the best I've ever had anywhere and their apple cider is so warm!
I love JJ's! I love eating here, bread, sandwiches, anything. Prices are amazing and the selection is so extensive that I have a hard time figuring out what I want most of the time because I want everything!
I love JJ Bakery so much! I especially love going to eat here for breakfast (I love the cheese bacon sticks and milk tea). There are also tons of amazing types of cake. Service is quick and friendly. Highly recommended!
This is a good place if you want to go drinking. The service is kind of slow and the food is alright. The portions are also somewhat small. Atmosphere is nice and lively though.
This is a very nice, small drugstore that is family-owned. They are quick and responsible and definitely know their store and stuff very well. I used to visit this when I was younger.
I love going to Mitsuwa. They have almost anything Japanese food-wise that I would need when I go grocery shopping. I have been shopping at this Mitsuwa since they built it. Also in the plaza they have a great food court and lots of little shops!
