Amazing group to watch. They have so much energy. Everyone is really nice and they always have very good workshops. They also help a lot in the US taiko community.
I had tea from here at my friend's place and I HAD to get some for myself so I went to the SF Centre in Downtown SF and checked it out. The store is so cute! The company is Japanese so the packaging was amazing. They had more tea options than I have almost seen at any tea store, and very unique options. They had winter specials and samples. I bought Muscat-flavored black tea for myself and my boyfriend got apple green tea which was delicious. They apparently just made a store in LA so when I go back, I'll be getting tea there forever.
It's open 24 hours which is great if you want something sweet when other places are closed. The donuts are very good! It's family-owned so it's amazing that it stays open 24 hours (especially in Irvine).
The ice cream here is very good! You can really taste the quality. You do pay for what you get (it's a bit on the pricey side). My roommate loved this place so she used to go all the time.
Lots of asian restaurants, cafes, and bakeries. Many of them are open pretty late (for Irvine). It can get kind of crowded at all the places if you go during dinner time, so be prepared.
This RA is much better than the one in Torrance. The service is great here. The food is also pretty good! They have tons of different types of innovative and fancy rolls, if you like non-typical sushi.
Tanaka farms is great! It's a real farm in the middle of Irvine. They always have a little shop/stand thing where you can buy fresh produce (which tastes amazing). They also have pumpkin patches or tree farms depending on the season. Also, they also give you the opportunity to pick the produce you want (like strawberry picking) and then pay for it by the pound.
I used to work in the mall so I'd go to Pacific Whey every now and then. The service was ok and I found their bakery foods and coffee were just okay as well. I always chose Champagnes (one floor under Pacific Whey).
Typical shoe store for the trendy woman. Pretty decent selection and they have all of the necessities. The styles are very average, nothing too amazing or unique. The shoes are very comfortable usually though.
This is like a toy store for kids, but only with games and puzzles. It's pretty big and the selection is good. It is mostly geared toward children and there are not many board games for the older crowd.
